MERCEDES: I’ve been waiting for this sit down for awhile now and even though we’ve done it before, it’s always great to catch up especially when new stuff happens. Anyway this sit down is special to me because my guest is a very good friend of mine. I met Sean through the wrestling world, we shared the same agent at the time and we actually wrestled for the same company. I wanted to do this interview because Sean has been making his way back in the limelight, his underwear line is flying off the shelves, he signed on to appear on #theLIFEATL and he’s been making little appearances here and there on different shows so let’s just say this man has been working his ass off.

MERCEDES: He’s a great father and businessman and i am honored to have him appearing on my show tonight, and even though we’re friends i won’t hold back on any questions i have to ask him tonight. I don’t want to keep everyone waiting so please everyone give a warm welcome to Sean Williams.

Mercedes stands and welcomes Sean who comes out to a warm reaction from the crowd. The two meet in the middle and hug before sitting down.

MERCEDES: Sean love, thank you for doing this. I know you hate interviews.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I guess it’s needed. People always ask when will they see me again whether it’s on TV or in the ring and you know I’m very private when it comes to my personal life so no one really knows what is up with me.

MERCEDES: Well that’s going to change tonight, because I have some juicy questions for you.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Well bring it on baby.

MERCEDES: But we jump in it though, how is the family? How is my godson Christian?

SEAN WILLIAMS: He’s great now, 6 going on 7 and smart as hell. We have a very close bond and i admire the little guy.

MERCEDES: Once you got full custody, your whole lifestyle changed.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I had too. I’m a father now so I had to make changes in my life. I became a better man because of him and I want to give him everything I’ve never had.

MERCEDES: There was a rumor going around saying that you were possibly looking to have another baby?

SEAN WILLIAMS: I was. But as of right now I’ve paused on the whole thing. Don’t get me wrong it’s something I want to do but I’m focused on building my empire.

MERCEDES: Do you have anyone in mind?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Not really because it was only a thought. But if it does happen you already know I would come to you or Star first.

MERCEDES: Speaking of that girl, when’s the last time you talked to her?

SEAN WILLIAMS: It’s been a few weeks, but we’re fine. I know she was dealing with a lot at one point and so much was happening in her life so I know she needed time for her and her family. But i send her a text every now and then checking up on her.

MERCEDES: Well tell her to answer my calls with her shady ass.

Mercedes chuckles.

MERCEDES: So tell me about your role on #theLIFE?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Ha that’s funny, but umm I mean It just happened. A lot of people don’t know that I was actually casted for the first season of ATL but during the time they were filming it just wasn’t right. Plus I really didn’t know anyone from the cast and I still don’t. But as we both know I have a personal friendship with the Carters and with London being the executive producer, he heard that I was trying to put my name back out there and reached out to me about appearing on the show.

MERCEDES: But how would that work if you didn’t know anyone?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Well that was the issue we ran into the first time besides the whole schedule problem. I felt like just throwing me in the mix would raise eyebrows and i wasn’t going to create fake drama for myself to get ratings.

MERCEDES: But wouldn’t it be the same this time around?

SEAN WILLIAMS: I guess you could say that, but I didn’t film with the cast at all this season really, it was just mostly scenes with myself and people I know.

MERCEDES: What can you tell us about the season?

SEAN WILLIAMS: It’ll be a good watch.

MERCEDES: Well I cant wait to see you on the show even if it’s not a lot but I think it’ll be cute for you.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I’m excited too, I’ve never done reality except Star’s show and I didn’t have a huge role on there but I enjoyed it. The fact this show is based around gay men and our lifestyles made it even more fun to do. But you won’t see me turning up on anyone though, that’s not me.

MERCEDES: Will you have any issues with anyone this season?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Uh not really, like I said I really didn’t film with anyone else on the cast. It’s not that I don’t like them or wanted too but again it was just no need because it would have looked fake. But you never know because we’re still filming until this day!

MERCEDES: Wow still?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Yes, with the amount of people added to the cast they felt like the season should be longer.

MERCEDES: That budget kicked in boo.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Ha I guess so.

MERCEDES: But moving on from that, what else is going on in your life?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Just raising my son and working, I’m trying to get in the mindset of being in the public eye and being more socialable but it’s just hard. I’ve been in the gym recently, working on this body and just getting ready for whatever is coming my way.

MERCEDES: So that means we’ll see you back in the ring?

Sean smiles.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I don’t know honestly, I’ve been playing around with the idea for so long and just haven’t done it.

MERCEDES: I think you should, the world is missing you in that ring.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I get so many tweets and comments about when I was returning to the ring. To be honest i accomplished a lot during my time and I have to shout you out because you really taught me to be ruthless in that ring. A lot of people don’t know that it was you and a few other people that helped my whole wrestling career.

MERCEDES: I appreciate that.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Never say never, I guess when I come across the right place then I’ll do it.

MERCEDES: The last place you wrestled was SCW right?

SEAN WILLIAMS: That was the last major company I wrestled in but I did a couple appearances in some Indy places.

MERCEDES: I don’t think you’ve ever talked about your departure from SCW, can you tell us what happened with that situation?

SEAN WILLIAMS: It just didn’t work out, it was a lot of personal issues outside of the company which really fucked up our relationship. I don’t hold any grudges and I won’t ever bad mouth SCW because they played a huge part in my career but I guess my time was over and it was time for me to move on.

MERCEDES: If they ever asked you to return would you do it?

Sean pauses for a second looking out towards the crowd who is cheering him on.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I think I’m banned from the company. Ha

MERCEDES: You can’t be serious.

SEAN WILLIAMS: The last time I heard from them I was told I couldn’t return which is fine, again I hold no grudges. I feel as though our relationship just ended in bad terms, but you never know if the opportunity ever came around and if we could all agree on something then I would be down for it.

MERCEDES: So you know I have to ask, have you talked to Synn?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Oh wow that is a blast from the past, but to answer your question no I haven’t talked to Synn. I don’t hate him or have anything against him I just felt like we just both kind of went out seperate ways.

MERCEDES: I think he’s married now or in a relationship.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Oh really? Well congratulations to him if it’s true.

MERCEDES: Well that’s sweet, but before we get further into the interview. This is the time we will announce this weeks HATER OF THE WEEK now as a musician I am always about growth but baby constantly attacking someone to make a name for yourself won’t help you secure or hold a spot in this business. Anyway now I am a fan of this weeks HATER OF THE WEEK but what I’m not a fan off is the constant talk and shade that she is throwing towards another favorite of mines. MERCEDES: I was so excited about Remy when she was released from prison, excited to see her free, excited about new music and excited to see her being reunited with her family. But what I’m not excited about is how she is constantly attacking Nicki Minaj. Now I don’t know the depth of the beef but what I do know is that the back is forth is getting old. Let’s get back to the music. I get girls will throw shots and call themselves the Queen but in reality all of us are Queens in our own way. You don’t see us R&B or Pop chicks getting involved in petty beefs. I get to some people this entertainment but at some
point there’s a time to just let it go. So please Remy let it go! You acknowledged and claimed a friendship once you stepped out of jail and now you two are enemies?

Mercedes shakes her head.

MERCEDES: But I just want to hear the music, something I can bounce too. But that is my reason of why I chose Remy as this weeks HATER OF THE WEEK. What you think Sean?

SEAN WILLIAMS: I’m a fan of both and had the pleasure of meeting them both. I think they’re great artists and i rather see a collaboration between the two then them fighting but what is the world without beefs huh?

MERCEDES: That is true. But speaking of beefs, what is going on with your ex Vincent? I heard he was out on good behavior.

SEAN WILLIAMS: You know what’s crazy he’s actually appearing on the show with me.

MERCEDES: Shut up, your lying.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Nah I’m not. Listen I forgave Vincent a long time ago, I can’t blame him for everything that happened during my downfall because I played a part in that too. He’s apologized for what he’s done and we’re working on a friendship.

MERCEDES: That’s very nice of you because you went through a lot with this man, I mean he was the one that got you hooked on the drugs and everything.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I knew about the drugs so I wouldn’t say he got me hooked, but he introduced me to a new lifestyle that I wasn’t use too. But since going to rehab, being reunited with my son and being successful with my businesses have really changed my life. Plus Christian is his nephew so technically their family.

MERCEDES: That’s such a weird situation. Why didn’t you ever press charges against Erica? You were drugged and rape and basically conceived a child you didn’t agree too.

SEAN WILLIAMS: It was a setup to extort money from me, at the time I trusted Vincent and I allowed him to do things and put me in situations I should have never been involved in. But them I remember I have Christian so that kind of makes up for it.

MERCEDES: So the anniversary of Playgirl is coming up, and paps caught a glimpse of you leaving their headquarters so what’s going on with that?

SEAN WILLIAMS: Uhh nothing really, they want to redo the article and add some new photos. I thought about it, it would be my third issue.

MERCEDES: Well I’m a three time Playboy covergirl so why not? Shoutout Hugh. Love you baby!

SEAN WILLIAMS: It’s a nice gesture and I was honored to do two covers. You never know, I know their running a story on me but now it’s just about me wanting to take new pictures or not.

MERCEDES: I think you should. So I think we’ve talked about everything though, I kept it cute with you tonight.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I really don’t have any secrets, everyone knows mostly everything about me. I’ve just been low key lately because I’ve really been focusing on my brand and behind the scenes. Even with me doing the show that’s stepping out of the box and putting myself back into the world so I figured why not step back out and catch people up to speed.

MERCEDES: When is the show airing?

SEAN WILLIAMS: I honestly don’t know because we’re still in the filming stages. We’ve been hearing different dates but I know it’ll be sometime this month, I’m sure social media will know soon enough!

MERCEDES: I appreciate you again for stopping by but you already know that we’re going to grab a drink after this.

SEAN WILLIAMS: Shit I need one.

MERCEDES: But before we stop what’s going on with your love life? I think it’s time for you to have that.

SEAN WILLIAMS: I think so to but my love life is dry. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve been on a date. It not my priority at the moment but when it happens I’ll be ready.

MERCEDES: That sucks.

SEAN WILLIAMS: It does at times, but I’m content with being alone.
