This year was draining, a lot of good things happened along with a lot of bad but I made it worth my while. I remember getting the call from my agent telling me that someone from MIL Network reached out to them about me possibly appearing on one of those reality shows called “Model Walk.” I was hesitant at first but my agent advised me that it would be a good career for me and could possibly help me snatch other gigs that might pop up.
So i was down for the whole idea, but the show never so the time of day. Later in that week I was casted for their LA franchise of the show called #theLIFE. I had seen a few episodes and figured it would be a good day to finally put me out there in the world and get noticed.
Even though I was modeling, it really wasn’t giving me what I wanted financially so added another check to my life wasn’t such a bad idea at the time. I was dating a guy named Dae Suk during that whole experienced and once I was casted that felt that I should bring him along so I could have some sort of role on the show.
But that wasn’t a good idea.
I felt like our relationship really suffered once we started filming and next thing I know we were separating and I was moving out and getting my own place. Don’t get me wrong I hold no grudges against the boy but I just wish things would have ended differently.
Now we don’t even speak.
I feel like a lot jealousy started between us, we both started acting different towards each other and it seem like there was more hate than love between us. I never wanted us to be enemies but the damage was done.
There was nothing I could do now.
So i was on my own it felt great. I was mostly focusing on my career and my own personal life so dating wasn’t a priority but shit I’m a mad, i got needs so I didn’t mind playing the field and seeing what my options were.

The scene opens up with Delonte pulling up to the airport arrival lane, sitting inside of his BMW coupe he waits for a couple seconds before finally noticing WWH Superstar Tommii Drëkko making his way to the car. Tommii opens the backdoor and tosses his duffel bag inside the car and then hops in the passenger side.
TOMMII DRËKKO: I appreciate you picking me up from the airport, shit I was going to grab a Uber so you really didn’t have too.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I don’t fly back to LA until Sunday so since I was still here and had the rental I didn’t mind it, plus I wanted to see you again.
TOMMII DRËKKO: Damn, you missed a nigga that much?
Tommii laughs.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I thought we had fun, well at least I had fun, I don’t know about you.
TOMMII DRËKKO: Nah you good, I had fun too. I told you this whole thing is new to me so excuse me if I don’t engage much when we talk about it. I’m still learning myself about how this shit works.
DELONTE FENDÍ: You make it seem like we’re on a interview or a new job or something.
TOMMII DRËKKO: I’m just use to bitches that’s all, so this attraction I got to dudes is like freaking me out a bit. Even after we fucked i just felt weird but it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s just something I have to adjust too.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I get it.
TOMMII DRËKKO: But i do like kicking it with you. My homeboy Keon is gay and he’s been trying to get with me the longest but I don’t vibe with him like I do you. I feel pressured when around him but with you I’m more laid back and myself. I probably sound crazy as hell right now but that’s the truth, man shit I’m not use this shit bruh.
Tommii laughs nervously.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Ha chill Tommii, you feeding way to much into it. But i do think you need to talk to that boy and tell him how you really feel, if he harbors feelings for you then it may end up being a disaster.
TOMMII DRËKKO: Bruh who are you telling? But I’ll figure it out. We’ve been friends for so long that I don’t look at him that way, but I kind of led him on after we hooked up, it was only some head but now he trying to be my nigga and shit and i can’t handle that pressure.
I’m sure he couldn’t handle the pressure and neither could I. Don’t get me wrong I care for Tommii, like we’re becoming close but I just can’t handle the extra drama.
No one knows Tommii is bisexual, and i think he wants to keep it that way so I wasn’t here to blast him or put him out there. But i would be lying if I said i didn’t have feelings for him.
I was willing to be patient, i just didn’t want to be played especially if my fucking heart is involved. I’m bouncing back after a heartbreak, so I didn’t want to experience another.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Damn you fucking niggas up like that with the dick huh?
Delonte laughs.
TOMMII DRËKKO: Nah it’s this pretty smile and personality nigga.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Yea whatever boy, don’t do that. What you want to do though? We’re almost in the city and I could drop you at your place if you like.
TOMMII DRËKKO: I thought I was coming back to your hotel? It’s still early so let’s stop and get some To-Go breakfast and head back to the room and just chill.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Oh really?
TOMMII DRËKKO: Hell Yea nigga I wouldn’t have said it if i didn’t mean it.
Tommii laughs as Delonte continues driving, the scene fades.

It felt good to be back in LA, every time I leave I would miss the hell out of it but shit I go where the money is. I had a fashion show to attend in Philly and a photo shoot so the trip was needed and plus I got the chance to spend time with my new friend.
Just saying that I could tell I was blushing but shit I needed to get my head back right, I was home now and there were a few things I needed to take care of here before I flew out and handle any other work that was out of LA.
My sister Nicki was in town, she stayed in ATL and owned her own boutique. She usually would fly out to places like LA or Texas to compete and also judge hair shows so since she was in LA for the week I told her she could crash at my place.
I had a very close relationship with my sister, I remember coming out to her, she was the first person I told and really was the only one in my family that actually accepted my sexuality.
So every time we would link up, it was always a fun time.
The scene opens up inside of Delonte’s Apartment, Delonte is shown lying on the couch while his sister is shown standing in the kitchen and making a drink.
NICKI FENDÍ: Finally your ass is back in LA, I’ve been here almost a week and almost left without seeing your ass.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I’m sorry sis, but you know when work calls, I have to jump on it.
NICKI FENDÍ: And You was out there boo loving too don’t play nigga, but I’m not mad at you. I’m glad you dropped that other dude anyway because he was a bit much.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Awe don’t do Dae like that.
NICKI FENDÍ: Look I liked him in the beginning but after awhile he was becoming way to extra, and I don’t like how he tried to make you look like a stalker or something. He was dragging your name through the mud and you don’t deserve that.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I mean the allegations he made towards me were untrue but he was hurt I moved on, so I get it.
NICKI FENDÍ: Now your making excuses for him, he tried to clown you with his unappreciative ass. If i saw him in the street I would probably spit on him.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Damn yo, just let it go because I did. He isn’t worth the headache or the time.
I can see why my sister was angry, after Dae Suk and I broke up, he tried to make it seem like I was this crazy person but in reality I wasn't.
I think in that whole situation Dae Suk was just upset that I moved on and didn’t want him in my life anymore. So he tried to discredit me as a person so that no one else would want me in the future.
But it didn’t work playboy because I’m still a hot commodity in these streets.
NICKI FENDÍ: But I want to know more about this new guy you’ve been hanging out with and being so secretive about.
DELONTE FENDÍ: It’s not much I can say because it’s really nothing right now, we’re only friends. I really do care for him but I just feel stupid because I’ve only known him a short period of time.
NICKI FENDÍ: But why you so secretive? OH MY GOD HE’S DL ISN'T HE?
Delonte bursts out laughing.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Nah he not DL sis but he’s not really open about it either, before me he’s only had one male encounter and they didn’t even go all the way. He’s trying to figure himself out and I know you won’t really say anything but I just rather keep it between me and him until I guess he’s ready.
NICKI FENDÍ: I’m ya sister boy, do you honestly think I would throw you under the bus?
DELONTE FENDÍ: It’s not that I think you’ll throw me or him under the bus but I just want to protect his privacy and plus we’re not a couple. I’m just hanging out with him and developing a friendship, we’ve only known each other a few months now because of a mutual friend and to be honest when we first met we really didn’t have a interaction.
When I met my friend I didn’t expect for things to happen so fast, I remember sitting outside the club and I was rolling a blunt in my car, he noticed me through my window and tapped on it asking if he could hit my blunt.
Of course I said yes, I mean I know when you look at him you can’t deny that the nigga is fine as fuck but in a weird type of way, I guess you can say his style is a bit different from the typical nigga off the street.
We was just sitting in the car getting high, it might have been the weed though because he started opening up about a lot of shit, his issues with his family and then this girl he was fucking with. I remember he asked me if I was gay and told me about how he has this encounter with a nigga he went to highschool with.
He told me it only happened one time and that he enjoyed it but he was still confused on what he wanted. I didn’t judge though because I’ve been down this road before with these so called straight niggas so I wanted to play around with him a little and feel him out.
Bad thing was, I ended up really vibing with him.
He kept me laughing the whole night and even though nothing sexual happened, we really vibed.
NICKI FENDÍ: Well just guard your heart, you already got rid off the misery in your life so you don’t want to put yourself into another situation similar to that.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I’m smart sis, I’m just enjoying the company right now.
NICKI FENDÍ: Well that’s cool, so what’s this about you coming to Atlanta though?
DELONTE FENDÍ: I may have some work down there, maybe some TV work but I can’t really talk about it because nothing is confirmed yet but I got some work until my sleeve.
NICKI FENDÍ: That will be cool, I’m there and so is your nephew, it would be great if you were around.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I’ve been thinking about it, I have a few friends there too so I don’t think I would be bored. Plus the fashion and model industry is really big in Atlanta now so why not collect a check there.
NICKI FENDÍ: Just make sure you make time for us though, I probably need to get back home anyway because Jules is probably giving his father a headache but hey that’s parenting.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Ugh I hate when you leave, I practically have no one here in LA.
NICKI FENDÍ: Hey! That was you that decided to move here and pursue a career, just be lucky you were successful because not everyone can say that. You're in a position now where you can make moves so I would take advantage of that.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I will.
NICKI FENDÍ: I heard dad was in LA too, I actually saw him at the Marriott. I know it’s been awhile since you’ve talked so maybe you should reach out.
Delonte rolls his eyes.
DELONTE FENDÍ: That I can't promise, growing up I went through hell with that man so when I finally got away, I was free.
NICKI FENDÍ: I won’t push it, but just think about it. I need to go pack and get ready for tonight.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Ok.
Nicki smiles as she makes her way towards the bedroom, Delonte looks down at his phone and looks up Dad in his contacts as the scene fades to black.

I remember the words •My son is no fairy, no faggot, no sissy. I refuse and I will do everything in my power to change that.• being said to me, and that’s all I could
think about everyday after. I didn’t know what I was experiencing at that age and I was scared.
My dad never abused me, but it was the verbal abuse that would bother me and then the fact he sent me to a church that specialized in turning gay men into straight ones.
And let’s not bring up the fact that we would have these long talks in private about why my lifestyle was an horrible choice. Once I turned 19, I decided to go out on my own and since then we’ve never talked again.
My choice.
The scene opens up with Delonte standing near the exit of the Marriott, his father Darnell walks out. He walks up to Delonte reaching for a hug but Delonte declines. The two walk over to one of the chairs located near the entrance and they sit down.
DARNELL FENDÍ: Thank you for coming. I understand this may be hard for you, hell you might not care but I am really happy that you are here. And I don’t want to want this conversation to be super long, but I just wanted you to know that I’ve made some mistakes in the past and I just want to move forward and hopefully form a relationship with you.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Why now?
DARNELL FENDÍ: I can’t really answer that, but after you left it gave me time to think and realize how much of a bad father I was to you. It may be hard for you to believe me right now but I am being sincere.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I never said you weren’t. But I was 19 when I left and since then I haven’t spoken to you. So it’s just find it strange that you want to reach out now after all that time.
DARNELL FENDÍ: I know you needed time and I wanted to give you that, you're a smart kid and I knew you would make it without any help from me or your mother. And she made it known that you didn’t want anything to do with me.
DELONTE FENDÍ: And I don’t know if I still do, I’m doing good things right now and I’m still gay, so if that’s going to be an issue then there’s no point for a relationship.
Darnell reaches for Delonte’s hand.
DARNELL FENDÍ: I just want my son back, I don’t care about all that stuff.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Dad I will always love you, but you need to understand that you really fucked me up when I was younger.
DARNELL FENDÍ: I understand Delonte, and I’m asking for a chance to fix that.
DELONTE FENDÍ: I’m just a little taken back but I’m not against the idea, this is a start.
DARNELL FENDÍ: That’s all I want son.
Darnell releases Delonte’s hand, and the two continue sitting there.
DARNELL FENDÍ: I saw you on that TV show, I was proud of you son. Even though some of those scenes were a bit crazy it was good to see you on TV and doing big things.
DELONTE FENDÍ: Damn That made me feel good, I appreciate that Dad. I’m just out here working trying to make it.
DARNELL FENDÍ: Well that's one thing you can say I taught you because I was hard worker also. But I want to catch up son so let’s grab something to eat.
DELONTE FENDÍ: That’s fine with me.
Both Delonte and Darnell get up from the chairs and make their way towards the parking garage as the scene fades to black.
