Shit was getting way to out of hand now, I had this nigga Deeno following my every move, how he found out where I was, I do not know how but all I did know was I couldn’t shake him. If I even threaten to call the police or tell anyone that he was around, he told me he would hurt me and possibly everyone close to me.
And I believed him.
Deeno was the type of dude you didn’t fuck with, if he couldn’t get the job done, then he had someone who would do it for him and that’s what scared me. I never understood what went wrong with Deeno and I because in the beginning we were so perfect.
I knew at one point we would eventually have issues but I guess because I was so young and naive, I didn’t understand or realize what I was getting myself into. And the fast money didn’t hurt either, I may not have been getting a huge cut for the work I put in but I was making something.
I had a modeling gig today so I was able to sneak away from Deeno, but the problem was he had my phone. As much as I wanted to tell someone what I was dealing with, at this point I didn’t want to bring anymore drama to my life so I just dealt with it.

ON-CAMERA
The scene opens up in Atlanta, Jaeshon is shown standing outside staring out towards the open road. He notices one of his model friends Gianni standing near the entrance smoking on a cigarette, so he walks over and joins him.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I hope you have another one I can bum off you, I think I need it.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: I didn’t even know you smoked, but sure you can have one.
Gianni hands Jaeshon a cigarette and also a lighter.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m just dealing with a lot of stress right now that’s all.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: Who isn’t? I’m almost slept in a prison cell this week so I’m lucky to even be standing here.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Oh shit, seems like you had a rough week too.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: What week isn’t tough when you're living in my household, but I’m taking it day by day. I’ve seen you around a few times though, I think your dope.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Awe, I appreciate it. I’m trying man but getting these jobs have been hard as fuck.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: You have to take it day by day and just keep trying, no matter what something always comes along because they always need a model for something.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Yeah, I got this NIke campaign the other week so I’ve been riding that shit, hopefully they use me in more of their ads.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: Shit fuck bro, I’d kill for a nike endorsement or even to appear in one of their ads, that’s big money.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Ha, respect!
GIANNI AVANTÈ: But you said you’ve been dealing with some shit, so what’s been going on with you? I mean if you don’t mind me asking.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Just life bro, someone from my past just re-entered my life and I’m trying to figure out a way to deal with that shit, other than that just trying to grab these gigs.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: Well this person that has come back into your life, was there a reason why you pushed them out or did it just happen?
JAÈSHON WOOD: Ah it's more to that, I don’t know if I want to get to deep into it but let's just say he wasn’t good for me then and I damn sure know he isn’t good for me now.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: You seem like you have a lot going for you man, I wouldn’t let old shit possibly ruin new shit if that makes sense. I’m not good on giving advice but I just know that if I was in a position like you, I would take every advantage and try not to mess that shit up.
He was only speaking the truth, if I even thought about dealing with Deeno again then I know my life would be in danger.
I can’t believe I even thought that in my head, I would never deal with that nigga again, I meant if I was allow him back into my space and to be honest I don’t want him back around but what can I do about it. Everyone says I should go to the police and file a restraining order and let them know I’m afraid for my life but i have no proof, no history to show what Deeno has put me through.
They would probably laugh in my face.
And these days law enforcement isn’t so loyal, so who knows Deeno might have some crooked ass cops on his payroll. I have stories for days from some of the stuff I’ve seen, experienced and heard from being around Deeno, and a lot of it wasn’t pretty.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: But that shit sounds serious, I hope whatever you're going through you get it taken care of man, seems like you're on a rise right now and I don’t think you would want to mess that up, once you fall off it's hard to jump back on.
JAÈSHON WOOD: You right.
GIANNI AVANTÈ: Keep your head up J.
Gianni tosses the cigarette to the ground, he smiles as he turns and walks back into the building leaving Jaeshon still standing outside, the scene fades to black.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I hope you have another one I can bum off you, I think I need it.

OFF CAMERA
DEENO: NIgga you said ya little shoot was going to be over hours ago, why the fuck you just now getting in the house?
The scene opens up with Jaeshon making his way into the bedroom, listening to the screams from Deeno, he ignores them as he starts undressing. Jaeshon turns and catches a mush in the face from Deeno sending him into the closet door.
DEENO: YOU DON’T HEAR ME TALKING TO YOU NIGGA.
Jaeshon stands back up.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I told you to stop putting your hands on me.
DEENO: Or what?
JAÈSHON WOOD: Look the shit ran late, if I would have had my phone then I could have contacted you and let you know.
DEENO: You don’t need your phone, you could have asked one of those sissies to use their shit.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m not doing all that when I have my own fucking phone, you are really trippin Deeno.
DEENO: Nah your trippin, you think because you this big ass model and because I spent time in jail that you can talk to me any type of way when I OWN YOU NIGGA. All this happening is because of me and the money I put in for your career.
JAÈSHON WOOD: This is all my WORK!
DEENO: Bruh I almost punched you in your face for talking that NONSENSE. If it wasn’t for the money I gave you, you wouldn’t even be doing this. I know after I was locked up you stole the money from inside the wall, you were the only person that knew about the money.
JAÈSHON WOOD: You don’t know shit.
DEENO: That I do know Jae, you see you thought I didn’t notice you watching me when I was hiding the money after that lick, but instead I allowed you to believe you were in the clear because I wanted to see if you were going to steal from me and I was in fact right about your ass.
Deeno starts rubbing his hands together laughing but in a sarcastic and sadistic manner.
DEENO: So technically you owe me every penny you stole from me, I created you and this lifestyle you want to live. I suggest you get on the phone and call that little pretty bitch you have as your manager and tell her she needs to start cutting the checks to me and I’ll release the payments.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Fuck you.
Deeno laughs, he reaches in his pocket and pulls out his pistol, slapping Jaeshon across the face with the butt of the gun. Jaeshon goes flying to the floor holding onto the side of his mouth.
DEENO: I hate when you get disrespectful, you're about to make me fuck up that pretty little face, then you won’t be able to model shit.
JAÈSHON WOOD: (Sobbing) You're fucking crazy nigga.
DEENO: I prefer smart and in charge.
JAÈSHON WOOD: You can’t keep doing this to me Deeno.
DEENO: Look enough with the crying, just get the fuck up, I probably should have just kicked you in your stomach or something because that face needs to look good for when I start setting up clients again.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m not doing that shit.
DEENO: You’ll do as I say honestly. Were in Atlanta baby and there's a lot of old rich men who want some young meat like you, I could make a killing out here.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Are you fucking stupid? I make more money modeling, why the fuck would I go out and sell myself?
DEENO: I like tax free money, and plus we do as I say. I call the shots around here now that I’m back in town, I thought you knew that.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I need my phone, I need to check my schedule.
DEENO: Nah you don’t need this, if anyone needs to get in contact with you then they can go through me, I’ll make all the business calls and anything dealing with you or whatever you have going on will be dealt with by me.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I fucking hate you yo.
Jaeshon gets to his feet and walks into the bathroom slamming the door behind him and locking it. Deeno walks up to the door turning the knob but gets frustrated when he notices that Jaeshon locked the door.
DEENO: You know I don’t like locked doors nigga, I’ll break this shit down and you know I will.
Deeno starts pounding on the door.
DEENO: OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR.
Before Deeno could bust down the door, Jaeshon opens it and to his surprises he feels a hard slap across his face. He looks down and notices Deeno throwing his phone at him and it shattering when it falls to the marble floor.
DEENO: Oops.
Deeno laughs walking off leaving Jaeshon standing there, the scene fades to black.

No matter what domestic abuse was all the same, no matter if it was between two men, two women, or both a man and a woman, it just wasn’t right. I guess everyone felt like it would be different if two men were fighting because the fact that we were men but we all bleed and hurt the same way.
We all feel pain.
I could have stood up and fought back, but what would that have brought me? Nothing but more pain so I didn’t know what to do in this situation. I wanted to scream and reach out to the people closest to me but I didn’t want them being involved in my drama.
I had to get rid of Deeno some way or another but I didn’t know how, and now my phone was shattered to pieces so until I could get a new one, I was stuck.

OFF CAMERA
Today was my Mercedes Show taping and I was excited about it, I knew she was probably going to ask me some serious questions so I needed to make sure I was ready and prepared for whatever she threw my way.
I reached out to a friend of mine and she helped me cover up some of these marks and shit I had on my face, I didn’t want Mercedes bringing up the fact I had bruises all over my body. It was bad enough that people were going around talking about what I did in my past, I didn’t need any new stories about me.
The scene opens up backstage during The Mercedes Show taping, Jaeshon is shown in his dressing room staring into the mirror. The door opens to his dressing room and Mercedes walks in wearing a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. She smiles walking up to Jaeshon giving him a kiss on the cheek.
MERCEDES: What’s going on boo? Are you ready?
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m nervous.
MERCEDES: Everyone always is, but trust me I’m one of the nice ones. I’m not here to slander you or make you feel uncomfortable at all.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Well that’s good to hear, I don’t think I could handle anymore stress in my life at the moment.
MERCEDES: Oh really? Well from the look of that bruise on your face and neck, it seems like you’ve been dealing with a lot.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Fuck! Is it that noticeable?
MERCEDES: Only because I’m standing so close to you but from a distance no one can tell, but that’s beside the point, are you okay?
JAÈSHON WOOD: Oh sure, I was just in a accident and got a little banged up but I am fine.
Ugh, that was such a horrible excuse and I know damn well she wouldn’t believe it, she’s not stupid.
MERCEDES: Baby even I am not that dumb, I’ve had my moments though. If you got some issues going on at home then they need to be addressed. This looks like it could be something serious and I just don’t want you getting hurt.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I don’t know.
MERCEDES: I’m not here to pry in your business, I’m just concerned about your safety. I’ve been in your shoes before and I know sometimes it's hard to leave because you think they’ll change but baby your life is just as important as whoever is doing this to you.
Mercedes takes her hand and rubs it against Jaeshon’s cheek.
MERCEDES: Wake up darling, you have to love yourself more then that.
JAÈSHON WOOD: You make it sound so easy, but it's just hard when you're afraid of not only your safety but your families also.
MERCEDES: Trust me I’ve been there before, we’ve only met a few times but I honestly care about you, so if there’s anything you need you can always reach out to me and I’ll be there for you.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I appreciate that.
MERCEDES: I need to go get ready fo we can start the taping, I’ll get one of my girls to come in and touch that up for you and don’t worry I won’t bring it up on the show but you need to take better care of yourself Jaeshon.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Thank you.
Mercedes smiles giving Jaeshon another hug and kiss, she turns and exits the dressing room leaving Jaeshon there alone, he turns and looks back into the mirror, staring at the marks around his neck and face as the scene fades to black.
