MERCEDES: Welcome everyone to another episode of The Mercedes Show, tonight's guest I have been following some time now, ever since I saw he signed onto #theLIFE I just knew he would be fun to watch. Now what some people don’t know is that I actually know JAÈSHON WOOD, I’ve worked with him before in the modeling world and I’m happy to have him here tonight and trust me I’m asking all the questions.

MERCEDES: Now recently news of prostitution in JAÈSHON’s past has hit the social world and yes these blogs are going crazy with these stories and tonight Jaèshon will finally be able to tell his side of the story.

MERCEDES: I don’t want to keep everyone waiting, so please give a warm welcome to JAÈSHON WOOD.

Motorsport By MIGOS plays through the speakers, Jaèshon walks out to a warm reaction from the crowd, he walks over to Mercedes and the two share a hug before he sits down.

MERCEDES: Jae! Welcome!

JAÈSHON WOOD: Thanks for having me.

MERCEDES: I’m sure you're happy to get away from the cold water and spend some time in sunny California.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I love Cali, but it's been chilly here lately.

MERCEDES: Of course, California wouldn’t be itself if we didn’t have our chilly days, but I’m happy you took the time out to fly here and spend some time with me and my studio audience.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Anytime.

MERCEDES: So I have to say that you are like my new favorite of the show, I have a few others I like but you, not only are you great to look at but I just like your whole personality.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m very laid back, I didn’t come onto the show to start any drama or cause issues, I just wanted to show people my life, my struggles and you know a fun side.

MERCEDES: As a viewer of the show I must say I feel like you’ve done pretty good, I haven’t seen you in any drama or fights yet.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Well the show still has more episodes, trust me I do get involved in some shit but it’s not as bad as everyone else who has drama on the show.

MERCEDES: Did that worry you when you first signed on? Because normally on reality shows they want you to fight, and argue.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I think with me it was different, I didn’t know anyone coming onto the show so it would be pointless to create or make up fake drama.

MERCEDES: That makes sense, I always wondered how that work when they create these shows, it's like you would have to find some people that would know someone because if you put people on there who have no clue of each other then it wouldn’t be a show, there would be no drama.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Oh trust drama can be created in any situation, whether they know each other or not once a person meets someone, it's starts from there. Everyone is talking!

MERCEDES: Yes they are and especially about you and this whole prostitution mess.

JAÈSHON sighs.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Yes, the lifestyle that seems like I can never get away from.

MERCEDES: Are you open to talking about it?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I never wanted to discuss it on television because I knew it would affect my family, especially my parents. But when the rumor hit the blogs, I had to talk about it.

MERCEDES: Who do you think leaked the story?

JAÈSHON WOOD: That I can’t really get into because I talk about it on the show, but at the end of the day no one should have leaked anything because it isn’t their story, but nowadays people are struggling for money so I understand the desperation.

MERCEDES: So it’s someone from the show?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Someone who wanted to make sure they had a spot secured for the next season.

MERCEDES: I always wondered why people would take that route, like why would you feel the need to sell your body?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I think the reason why people do it is the same reason why strippers dance for money, it's quick money. I didn’t have a horrible background but it wasn’t the greatest either, just like any family we had our personal problems when it came to our personal lives and our financial lives. When it was time for me to make moves then I did what I knew best and what was taught to me.

MERCEDES: So it was solely for money?

JAÈSHON WOOD: In the beginning, I was so young and I had this person telling me that they could do everything to help me succeed and make it in life, I was promised all this money and great things but as I grew older, I realized how naive I was and I decided to make changes.

MERCEDES: Why not stop?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I couldn’t at the time, I was in a very dangerous situation and I was afraid for my life. Chicago was a bad time for me which is why I needed to get away, that’s why I chose to come back to Atlanta.

MERCEDES: That is a dangerous life to live,

JAÈSHON WOOD: It is, which is why I needed to get out of it, I didn’t want to live that type of lifestyle anymore. I was putting myself in really dangerous situations and I just couldn't handle it anymore.

MERCEDES: Dangerous? Like what?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I’ve been abused, ummm robbed at gunpoint, I mean the list goes on.

MERCEDES: Wow at gunpoint?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Yes, and it was a scary situation but luckily I made it out alive, that’s one of the reasons I won’t carry big amounts of cash on me anymore.

MERCEDES: I’m sorry you had to go through that, that must have been tough.

JAÈSHON WOOD: It was, I didn’t sleep for days because that incident would constantly replay in my head, eventually I got better but I just know it’s something I’ll never forget.

MERCEDES: Yes well I’m happy you're still here to even talk about it, but let's move onto something a little brighter like the show, what made you want to sign up and how?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Well my previous agent before Queen had mentioned the show to us, before I signed onto the show I had recently fired my management so when the deal happened it was mostly as an extra. But once new management kicked in, I was actually able to secure a full contract. And I also had connections on the show because of my brother Hadrian.

MERCEDES: Speaking of Hadrian, he was on the show a few weeks back and stated that all you guys were currently in the process of reconnecting.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Well that was the plan but as you can see on the show it hasn’t been going that way.

MERCEDES: Yes it seems like Blair isn’t on board.

JAÈSHON WOOD: He isn’t and I can understand his reasoning why, but at one point we all lost contact. We always knew about Hadrian but we just never really got the chance to see him or talk to him. As we grew older I guess we could have made time for each other but it just never happened. So Blair feels like now that we're on the show that’s the only reason why Hadrian wants to fix the relationship.

MERCEDES: So Blair prefered it to be off camera?

JAÈSHON WOOD: He felt like it would have been more sincere, more real. But even off camera Hadrian and I have had conversations and even hung out, I just recently visited him at his gym.

MERCEDES: Will you guys ever sit down? I mean all of you.

JAÈSHON WOOD: You will just have to watch the show and see.

MERCEDES: What about the other cast? Who do you get along with and who don’t you like?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I honestly have no issues with anyone on the cast except for one person, but everyone has been cool, well the people I’ve been around.

MERCEDES: Who don’t you get along with?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I can’t really say without giving away the show so you guys will just have to watch and see but soon enough you’ll see the person I have an issue with and why I have one with that person.

MERCEDES: Did you think that a beef or drama would happen with you on the show?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I knew it would be a possibility but I tried to avoid it as much as possible. I never understood why people got on TV and acted a fool, I get it's to entertain the audience but at some point you have to take ownership and realize that’s not always the best route to take.

MERCEDES: That is true.

JAÈSHON WOOD: But I know where I want to go in life and that’s straight to the top.

MERCEDES: I hear that and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself and wanting to stay away from stuff that could possibly ruin your career or your brand. But talking about ruined careers and brand, I have to take time out to announce this week’s HATER OF THE WEEK and I thought hard about this before I decided to name this guy the HATER OF THE WEEK but VINCENT HERBERT you deserve it especially if all these rumors and allegations about you are true.



MERCEDES: It looks like Mr. Herbert has lost all this weight and started feeling himself, I guess he don’t need Mrs. Braxton anymore. In the news Vincent has been accused of verbal and physical abuse and maybe even cheating allegations which drove Tamar Braxton to finally file for divorce and I feel for her. No man should ever raise his hand towards a woman especially a woman he loves. I really wish Tamar nothing but success and love during this hard time for her and I hope Vincent starts humbling himself. I don’t know everything about their relationship but from what I have read it wasn’t great.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Damn that sucks.

MERCEDES: Yes it does, I don’t respect a man who will try and break a woman down not only physically but mentally, which is why I had to name him as the HATER OF WEEK.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Well deserved.

MERCEDES: I’m sure you’ve dealt with heaters.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Dealt with them and still dealing with them, I don’t think that’ll ever change. But I just don’t let it affect me, I know my past isn’t squeaky clean but that was me then and this is me now, and the me now is a totally different person on a better path.

MERCEDES: That’s all that matters to be honest, everyone's opinion isn’t needed but people will still give them anyway just so they can try and bring you down, keep doing what you need to do to survive and you’ll always have a friend and fan in me.

Mercedes smiles blowing a kiss at JAÈSHON.

MERCEDES: So what’s your dating life like?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Ha, what dating life?

MERCEDES: A guy handsome as yourself should have men at the door lined up waiting for a date.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Oh I’m not saying there isn’t a line, but I’m taking my time. I’ve dealt with a lot of hurt and trust issues from dudes in the past and right now I don’t need the headache.

Jaèshon smiles.

JAÈSHON WOOD: But I’m having fun though, and I’ve met some great people doing this show.

MERCEDES: Oh wow, any hookups with any of the cast members?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Ha.

Jaèshon giggles covering his mouth, trying to hide himself blushing, the crowd cheers him on and Mercedes smiles.

MERCEDES: Look at you blushing, so it must be someone from the show.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m just having fun that’s all I’ll say, and it doesn’t necessarily mean like relationship fun, I’m just having fun in general. I’m happy to back in Atlanta, working, my own spot, and being around good people.

MERCEDES: What is it that you want to do next? Like what’s on your list?

JAÈSHON WOOD: I really want to continue modeling because it’s always been a dream of mine, I also thought about getting into the ring.

MERCEDES: What ring? Wrestling? Stop lying!

JAÈSHON WOOD: Nah I’m serious, I use to always watch it growing up and at one pointed promised myself that was something I wanted to do, but once the modeling thing took off I kind of put wrestling on the back end but I want to get involved with that.

MERCEDES: Let me tell you and this is from experience, it's a tough world but I loved every bit of it. You get to travel the world and meet so many great people that the rough life of being a wrestler makes the whole experience worth it.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I mean right now it's only a thought because like I said my modeling career has been taking off, I kind of wanted to jump on the bandwagon and get involved in the fashion world too, maybe create my own line or logo or something.

MERCEDES: Like what?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Maybe a underwear and sweatpants line, I love them both.

MERCEDES: Well that is a marketable business, so you would definitely generate a coin being in that business because to me that’s something we need. I don’t know if you ever met my friend Sean Williams but he actually has his own underwear line that's been doing good for years, maybe you two should meet and discuss some ideas.

JAÈSHON WOOD: That’s funny you mentioned his name because I actually look up to him and his movement, like I said I’ve watched wrestling before so I clearly know who he is. His accomplishments are out of this world and that’s something I hope I can do and that’s achieve the same success or more.

MERCEDES: He’s truly a businessman and an icon in the business so yes getting some pointers and some advice from him would be a good idea.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Well set that up.

JAÈSHON laughs.

MERCEDES: I’m sure he wouldn’t mind doing it, you guys are so similar and I think he might be a good look for you.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m always open to growth and networking with different people, and to be honest he probably would be a good look if I was to write that I worked with him on my resume.

MERCEDES: But speaking of working with people, tell us how you and Queen became partners, I noticed that she is managing you.

JAÈSHON WOOD: The funny thing is I actually reached out to her via social media, I was shocked that she even returned my message. I let her know my background and what I wanted to do with my career, she said she could help me. So we met up and we talked about a lot of stuff and from that meeting she agreed to work with me.

MERCEDES: Looks like she gave you an advance also, how much?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Ha, I’ll never tell but she made that advance she gave me back and quick too. I think she’s a great woman, and a brilliant businesswoman. I’m blessed that she wanted to give me a chance and she didn’t judge me at all, she told me to forget the past and focus on the future and all the money I’m about to start getting.

MERCEDES: Making money is always a good thing, and I can see you making more of it.

JAÈSHON WOOD: That’s the plan, I know this TV stuff won’t last forever, I don’t want to be 70 years old and still doing reality tv and trying to model., All the money I make I plan on being smart with it, investing it and watching it grow.

MERCEDES: I’m proud of your success, and it looks like you're on the right path to being even more successful. #theLIFEATL is doing great on TV, the ratings are out of this world. So I have to ask if they decide to do another season, would you sign back on?

JAÈSHON WOOD: Never say never but at the end of the day I probably would, it’s brought me nothing but good things and a lot of opportunities so of course I would return if they would want me back.

MERCEDES: Now I was always a fan of the LA Franchise, but with you guys it's seems like it's a different ball park, Atlanta always has the hottest shows.

JAÈSHON WOOD: I honestly don’t know why they decided not to come back with LA Franchise because I enjoyed that one, I thought the cast was a good mix of people and even though they had some drama, they were still fun to watch.

MERCEDES: Well it seems like the producers of the show have been hinting at a new franchise, any word on that?

JAÈSHON WOOD: If they did I think that would be dope, it's so many other people out here with a story to share so why not let them share it, if there was another city then I would be down for it, I would definitely watch.

MERCEDES: If another city is done then they should do somewhere like Texas or maybe New York.

JAÈSHON WOOD: You know what I’m surprised there hasn’t been a NY Franchise, you would think NY would have been the first choice but hey maybe they just haven’t found the right group of guys there.

MERCEDES: Again JAÈSHON I appreciate you stopping by today and giving us the tea on what's been going on with you and the show and of course all your other ventures. We have to get your brother on the show too because he seems like he has a lot of mystery behind him.

JAÈSHON WOOD: Ha he does, he doesn’t like interviews to much so I don’t know how that will go trying to get him to make an appearance but hey you never know.
