OFF•CAMERA
I’m still in shocked from what went down tonight, there’s a dead man laying in my fucking living room. I was freaking the fuck out right now, like I didn’t know what to do. I called Phoenix a couple times but got no answer so she was probably busy or something.
Like damn Jaèshon you are fucking tripping, like you just really killed Deeno in your own fucking apartment like this shit was real.
All I could do was replay what happened, I couldn’t see or think of anything else besides that.
BLAIR WOOD: YO JAÈSHON! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING NIGGA? THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR YOU TO BE DAYDREAMING AND SHIT.
The scene opens up inside of Jaèshon’s bedroom. Blair mushes Jaèshon in the back of the head grabbing his attention and Jaèshon shakes his head while looking up at Blair.
BLAIR WOOD: What she say?
JAÈSHON WOOD: She didn’t fucking answer, she’s probably busy.
BLAIR WOOD: We can’t do busy right now nigga, we need to think before this fool start stinking and shit.
JAÈSHON WOOD: He's dead Blair, were fucking murderers.
BLAIR WOOD: You don’t think I know that nigga, but it’s self defense. We were defending ourselves, if it wasn’t him then it could have been me, you, or the both of us.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Yeah I know, like I’m sorry for getting you involved.
BLAIR WOOD: I’m not worried about that nigga, you’re my brother and I wasn’t about to let this nigga kill you. So chill with that apologizing and shit, we about to dump this nigga somewhere and call it a day. I’m almost done cleaning in the living room and shit but you need to burn your clothes and wash the fuck up.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m scared.
BLAIR WOOD: Live with it bro, this has to be our secret, we take this shit to the grave. If you feel like you can trust her then cool, other then that no one needs to know.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I promise I won’t say anything.
Blair hugs his brother, he turns and rushes out of the bedroom and into the living room where he continues to scrub the floors and hide any evidence. Jaèshon sits there staring at Deeno’s motionless body, he begins to cry.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I fucking hate you yo, you ruined my fucking childhood yo.
Jaèshon balls his fist up and starts punching away at Deeno’s chest. With each pain he lets out a groan, he stops as he feels the floor begin to vibrate, Phoenix is shown calling Jaèshon back and he quickly answers the FaceTime call.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Oh my god Thank you for calling me back, I don’t know what to do. Like can I trust you?
Still bloody in the face Jaèshon lets out a loud scream, and then mumbles.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I...killed...him
A brief silence passes by before she’s able to respond.
PHOENIX QUAGLIATERRE:Look… it’s best to not talk over the phone if that’s true…. Text me the address and I’ll be right over. Stay exactly where you are and don’t touch anything, okay? I know you’re probably out of your mind right now but you just have to trust me, I’m putting on my shoes now and I will be right on my way.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Okay… I’m doing it right now.
Jaèshon texts his address to Phoenix, he starts sobbing on the phone again.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I...don’t...know….what to do!
PHOENIX QUAGLIATERRE:It’s alright, it’s alright… just try to relax and remember that this was in self defense. I will be there as soon as i can, i promise. Just try to keep yourself together as best as you can.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Okay! I need to go, I need to clean. Thank you!
Jaèshon places his phone on the floor next to Deeno’s body, he just stares at him shaking his head, still in shock, Jaèshon finally gets to his feet and rushes into the living room, he notices his brother pacing back and forth smoking a blunt.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Are you okay?
BLAIR WOOD: I’m not worried about me, I’m worried about you.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m good right now, I don’t know how I’ll feel days from now because this is a lot.
Blair hands Jaèshon the blunt, he takes a couple hits, inhaling the smoke and then blowing it back out through his nose.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Phoenix advised me over the phone that she would call me from another phone, she said she had a way for us to dispose of the body but she didn’t want to discuss it on her personal line.
BLAIR WOOD: I don’t blame her, she’s already involved by just knowing the man's dead anyway.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I hope this doesn’t cause an issue in our relationship, business and personal.
BLAIR WOOD: Look that’s least of our worries right now, we just have to chill here right now and think this shit through. Luckily we have time before he starts smelling.
Hours went by, and we both sat in this apartment with Deeno’s lifeless body. I finally calmed myself down and wasn’t as upset as I was earlier but this shit was still scary.
Phoenix called me and said she would be here shortly, she caught a private jet and advised me not to do anything until she landed. She said she had her assistant run and grab a few things from Home Depot that I guess would help us get rid of the body and not leave any type of trace.
But it was so crazy to me that I was even in this predicament, but we had no other choice. Deeno was abusive and I couldn’t live under his control anymore, he was a threat to humankind and a person like him should be behind bars or six feet under and sadly the second option was his outcome.
I was still nervous that the police may show up, even though hours had passed, this neighborhood was so small and almost everyone knew everyone, so no one hearing the gunshots and alerting the police still baffled me.
But I guess that was a good thing though.
The buildings weren’t that close together anyway, so maybe no one really heard the shots. Blair was still up pacing back and forth like a maniac, and I was working on my tenth blunt.
BLAIR WOOD: Man I’m about to get like a saw or something and just hack this nigga up.
JAÈSHON WOOD: You can’t do that Blair, we’ll make a huge mess and you know blood is hard to clean up.
BLAIR WOOD: I just want to get this nigga out my eyesight, I think we need to leave Atlanta yo, like now. Go somewhere else and start fresh, we can’t stay here.
JAÈSHON WOOD: But where would we go Blair?
BLAIR WOOD: Far away from Atlanta, at least get out of town for a few months and let shit die down.
JAÈSHON WOOD: But wouldn’t that make us look guilty?
BLAIR WOOD: Not If we’re working, we can just say we were working gigs and doing things for the show. No matter how justified this is because of self defense. It’s still going to be a process so if we can just avoid all of that then i rather take that route!
JAÈSHON WOOD: I’m fine with whatever we decide to do, I got your back bro just like you had mines tonight and my whole life.
The two continue talk as they wait for Phoenix’s arrival, The scene fades to black.
Like damn Jaèshon you are fucking tripping, like you just really killed Deeno in your own fucking apartment like this shit was real.

OFF•CAMERA
Deeno laid on my living room floor for almost a day and a half now, not breathing or moving but just motionless and cold. Phoenix finally reached my home and the first thing she did when she came in was hug both me and my brother.
She knew that we were still a bit shaken from what happened the night before and she didn’t even ask any questions. She came inside with a suitcase filled with different types of knives and cutting blades, gasoline, matches and black trash bags that were big enough to hold a full day of lawn work.
Meaning them shits was huge.
She wanted to help so bad to dispose of the body but I didn’t want her hands in my dirty work. So instead she sat back and watch my brother and I cut away.
Removing all limbs, including the head. We filled two garbage bags and closed them tightly. Phoenix told me she would handle the clean up at my home while Blair and I found a discreet location where we could burn the body.
I felt like I was filming a movie but instead I was living my real life. I helped Blair carry the two bags to the car and we hopped in, I stopped at the gas station and bought me a pack of Newport’s, filled my tank up and it was time to hit the road.
I’m thinking Florida!
The scene opens up inside of Jaèshon’s car, both Jaèshon and his brother Blair are shown crossing over into Florida from Georgia still carrying Deeno’s remains inside the car.
JAÈSHON WOOD: We’re almost there.
BLAIR WOOD: I’m fucking exhausted man, we’ve been up like 3 days straight dealing with this shit.
JAÈSHON WOOD: I know, it’s almost over.
BLAIR WOOD: I just want to crash so bad but until this body is gone, I can’t fucking do it.
Blair looked tired, and I was running off caffeine pills and junk food. I’m surprised I was eating because before I didn’t have an appetite.
Maybe I was nervous, or it could be I was anxious. I was ready to get this shit over with, we finally made it to the destination I was comfortable with doing the deed. It was a little cut off one of the side roads I was on and it was perfect for dumping and burning a little trash.
It seem like other people thought so too. We drove down far enough from the road where we wouldn’t cause a scene, it was dark and we planned on lighting a body on fire.
The scene opens up with Jaèshon and Blair carrying the bags with Deeno’s remains out to the opening, placing them on the ground, Jaèshon pours the gasoline over the bags while Blair flicks a lit match over top. The bags bursts into flames and the two boys step back.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Should we wait it out?
BLAIR WOOD: Nah, we don’t want to risk someone pulling up and catching us here. I think we’re good, but you can see other people have been out here because of the other junk here so we probably should dip.
JAÈSHON WOOD: Just a couple more seconds, I need to make sure.
BLAIR WOOD: Alright, I’m going back to the car. Don’t take forever yo and make sure you don’t drop nothing or leave anything behind.
Jaèshon nods, Blair turns and starts walking back towards the car leaving Jaèshon standing there still watching the two bags burn.
I needed to make sure this man was gone, every life of this man was gone. This was truly the end, the end to all the pain and horror he’s caused me since I’ve met him.
Fuck you Deeno.
That felt so good to say, this man was really gone!
I took a cigarette out and bent down lighting it off the flames from the bags, one hit and I let that motherfucking smoke fly in the sky. As sadistic as this sounds but it felt good, I felt fucking good.
BEEP BEEP
Blair honks the horn, yelling out the window for Jaèshon to come on.
BLAIR WOOD: NIGGA LETS GO!
Jaèshon turns and rushes back to the car hopping in the driver's side, he puts the car in reverse and backs up the pathway back toward the road. He looks back down at the trash burning before speeding off onto the roadway heading back towards the interstate to Georgia.
This is my life now, I didn’t know what the future would hold, who knows if we were going to get away with this but all I knew was my life was about to change drastically.
And I’ll have to ride that shit until the wheels fall off, this secret was coming with me to my grave and I’m sure everyone involved felt the same way.
It was time to focus on what my next moves were and yes without Deeno.
