The scene opens at an open house in a lavish condo in downtown LA. People.are shown walking around viewing the property. The scene then pans to the valet area where Y'layna Bryant is shown climbing out of her silver Mercedes G Wagon. She hands the keys to one of the valet drivers and makes her way toward the condo. The scene cuts inside where London is shown admiring the island table inside the huge kitchen.
LONDON CARTER•KING: I promised Anthony that I would take some time while here in LA to look at a couple properties. Since he insists on having a place here, I figured it would be best for me to pick the place instead of him. Baby when I first met Anthony all he had in his apartment was a fucking futon sofa, 70 inch TV, a playstation and a bean bag.
London shakes his head.
LONDON CARTER•KING: But that's my man and since then his fashion and decorating skills have upgraded since I stepped into his life. Anyway I stopped by one of the properties that was on the list and I reached out to Y'layna to meet me, she dabbled in real estate and since we haven't seen each other in awhile, I figured this would be the best time to catch up.
The scene cuts back to London inside the kitchen, he feels a hand brush against his back and he turns facing his old friend. The two embrace each other with a hug.
LONDON CARTER•KING: Thank you for coming, I figured I could use your two scents before making any decisions.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: I was very surprised to hear from London. But I'm so glad he called. Maybe Anthony got into his head. Whatever the case, I'm happy to see my friend.
The scene returns to the two
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: Well you know I dabble! I can't believe London Carter is actually thinking about buying an house in LA
LONDON CARTER•KING: Trust me I'm not happy about it but I'm not disappointed either, but you know I'm a east coast baby plus Miami has been home for so many years.
London sighs.
LONDON CARTER•KING: But majority of Anthony's work is here so it only makes sense.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: Yeah. Is definitely about time. This is a big step.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: I'm so happy to see London taking this step to move closer to his boo. And maybe this would also help us spend more time together too.
The scene returns to the two
LONDON CARTER•KING: So what’s been going on with you though? Seems like we haven’t seen or spoken to each other since The Mercedes Show and from what I was told from my husband is that you felt as though I still have a problem!
London pauses for a second.
LONDON CARTER•KING: I don’t have a issue with you but if you have one then we can put it all out on the table now.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: Here we go… Now this is gonna go either really good, or really bad. But I guess now is as good a time as any.
The scene returns to the two.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: I don't know if there is an issue but things definitely haven't been the same between us for awhile now. A blind man could see that.
LONDON CARTER•KING: I mean to be honest Y’layna we both haven’t really acted as friends these past few months, maybe because it was a lot of hurt and pain between us both but since our last interaction things haven’t been the same.
London shrugs.
LONDON CARTER•KING: I really don’t want to go back in time, but I will take ownership in the part I’ve played throughout this whole situation and if you feel like I haven’t been a good friend to you then I apologize deeply.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: I just want my best friend back. We're keep saying let's put the past in the past. So let's stop saying and start doing. I am sorry too. We both are crazy when we are mad. But you know I love you.
LONDON CARTER•KING: Then let's do that, so much stuff has happened in our lives that we’ve been missing out on because of this petty shit so after today the past is no longer an issue.
LONDON CARTER•KING: I was cool with starting fresh with Y’layna because at one point we were really good friends. Even though I felt like some of the moves she made were shady, at the end of the day I was happy to have my friend back.
The scene cuts back to the two.
Y’LAYNA BRYANT: To a fresh start. Let's hope it's real this time. I an beyond drained of the extra stuff.
The two continue talking as The scene fades and reopens in of Brandon's mother's house. Inside Brandon and Drake are shown sitting at the kitchen table, and on the other side stood one of the detectives and Brandon's mother. The detective reaches in his bag and pulls out a folder, inside the folder were picture lineups of some of the suspects that may have been involved in Brandon's attack.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: Detective Jeffries reached out to me today and said he needed to talk to me about possible suspects involved In the robbery, honestly I didn't even want to talk about it nor did I want to snitch on these dudes, but my mother was pressuring to tell. She just didn't understand the circumstances of what was going on.
Brandon shrugs as the scene cuts back to everyone.
DET. JEFFERIES: Mr. Andrew's I just need you to take a look at these photos and see if you’ll recognize anyone in them. I'll go through them all first and point out any familiar face.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: What if this comes back and bites me in the ass? It was so many of them and who's to say you'll catch them all. I'm not a snitch!
DESTINY YOUNG: Brandon please, we've talked about this.
DET. JEFFERIES: You could have been badly hurt or killed, the best thing to do is put these dangerous men behind bars and save someone else who could possibly fall victim to one of these men's brutal attacks.
DESTINY YOUNG: Listen to him honey.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: Fine I’ll do it.
Brandon shakes his head annoyed at being forced to choose from the picture lineup. The detective shows off the first couple of pictures and Brandon nods his head to each one, finally the detective pulls out two more photos and Brandon recognizes the two suspects.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: Those two.
DET. JEFFERIES: Now are you sure, we don’t want to start the process and have the wrong guys.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: I’m sure.
DET. JEFFERIES: Good, once we come across the other guys then I’ll be in touch but I can at least start with these two. Now as far as your safety, are you scared? Do you need protection or security?
DRAKE ANDREWS: Nah I’m all the protection he needs.
DET. JEFFERIES: Ok that’s fine, but remember to make sure you let us take care of this matter, don’t take the law into your own hands.
DRAKE ANDREWS: Nigga fuck you and ya whole team! Like I said, I'm all the protection he need.
DET. JEFFERIES: Like I said i'll keep in touch.
DRAKE ANDREWS: Get this clown the fuck outta here man.
The detective grabs his papers and the rest of his items and makes his way from the patio to the front of the house. The scene cuts back to Drake and Brandon.
DRAKE ANDREWS: Are you sure you want to go through with this B?
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: I don’t know, I want justice but at the same time I do not want to go down as a snitch.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: This whole situation was difficult to deal with. Part of me wanted to do the right thing while the other part of me wanted to let this shit go. It seems like those dudes had a target and the target was me, I don’t know if it’s because I was gay or what the situation was but I felt like if I didn’t do anything about it then it could happen again and the next person that it happens to could be worse than me.
The scene cuts back to the two.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: I’m just happy you're here right now.
DRAKE ANDREWS: I'm always gonna be here. I need you to know that shit man. This wouldn't have happened if you were where you were supposed to be. I keep tryna get you to come back home man.
DRAKE ANDREWS: Yea I did some fucked up shit. But I'm tryna put all the pieces back together. I'm tryna man up and be the perfect husband. But i really don't know to be that. But I'm trying. I just need him to o I can protect him.
Drake sighs, shaking his head as the scene returns to the two.
BRANDON YOUNG•ANDREWS: I’m just happy he’s gone, like I said your here now and once all this is over I can go on living my life the way I should.
Drake nods agreeing with Brandon, he pulls him closer to his body and the two sit there as the scene fades and reopens in Atlanta, GA. Corey is shown on a photo shoot he’s doing for a local magazine, he takes a couple pictures before taking his shirt off. The scene cuts to the outside where North Winters is shown pulling up in her Mini Cooper. She hops out and walks inside, she notices Corey posing for the camera, flexing his muscles and she smiles giving him life by complimenting him.
NORTH WINTERS: You trying to have all the women and men drooling over you boy, including me.
COREY LEWIS: Ha, don’t play with me like that.
NORTH WINTERS: Looking good boo. I’ve missed you tho, you got some time to chat.
COREY LEWIS: Yea of course.
Corey hops down off the platform and walks over to North greeting her with a hug. The two walk over to the table where food and beverages are and they both start snacking on the fruit.
COREY LEWIS: I can’t wait to finish this shit so I can leave, I’ve been here since this morning.
NORTH WINTERS: Gotta keep up with the lifestyle, baby this is hard work, early mornings and late nights.
COREY LEWIS: But looking at that check makes it worth it.
NORTH WINTERS: How about that?! But what’s been going on with you? I haven’t seen you since I’ve been out LA.
COREY LEWIS: Same ole shit honestly, just work.
NORTH WINTERS: Same here.
COREY LEWIS: I got some dude drama and you already know that’s not normal for me.
NORTH WINTERS: You? I’m a little speechless, you aren’t the type to let “dude” drama affect you so it must be something serious.
COREY LEWIS: Shit it was more than serious, after what Anthony told me about the dude I was trying to mess with, it just got me to thinking that loyalty is hard to find.
The scene cuts back to the two.
COREY LEWIS: I mean I never told anyone who the dude was, I just wanted to keep it to myself because you already know I don’t get to involved with that whole lifestyle.
NORTH WINTERS: You wouldn’t even tell me and I’m one of you good friends.
COREY LEWIS: Well I opened up to Anthony about it and comes to find out the dude I was checking for is married.
NORTH WINTERS: Damm! All I can do is shake my head.
COREY LEWIS: His name is Brandon.
NORTH WINTERS: Drake Andrew’s husband? Shut the hell up. Damn Corey I could have told you the tea if you would have told me a long time ago, I mean I knew the two were having issues because it’s blasted all over social media but damn I didn’t know they were stepping out on each other.
COREY LEWIS: We’ve never slept together though, we just went out a few times, he mentioned to me he was ending a situation but just never mentioned he was married.
NORTH WINTERS: I don’t understand how you didn’t know.
COREY LEWIS: I’m not on social media like that, hell I just made a Twitter and I rarely use that. All I know is I’m done with the whole situation, I just think it’s messed up he couldn’t be real with me.
NORTH WINTERS: They’re whole situation is messed up, let it go boo because that’s trouble.
COREY LEWIS: And she was right, I needed to focus on the good that was happening in my life, not this garbage.
The scene cuts back to the two.
COREY LEWIS: I know that now, I’m good though.
NORTH WINTERS: It’s so many single men in LA, whenever you are ready to date then I’m sure someone will come your way. But until then stack your money and stay booked.
Corey nods, the photographers calls for him to come back and Corey walks over to continue his photo shoot while North watches on. The scene fades and reopens at Yamashiro on Hollywood Blvd, Mercedes is shown making her way down the block walking towards the famous restaurant.
MERCEDES: Marcus begged for me to meet him for dinner and at first I didn’t want to, I just didn’t want to give him this false hope of us ever getting back together but at the same time I didn’t want to come off as a bitch, plus I wasn’t about to turn down some good food.
Mercedes chuckles.
MERCEDES: On a serious note I truly cared for Marcus and even if this night doesn’t go the way he expects it too, I wanted him to know that he always has a friend in me.
The scene cuts back to Mercedes walking towards the table where Marcus is sitting. Marcus gets up from his chair with roses in hand and hands them to Mercedes while embracing her with a hug. He pulls her chair out and the two sit.
MARCUS KAIN: Thank you for coming.
MERCEDES: Of course Marcus.
MARCUS KAIN: Even though you're saying this isn’t a date, I’m hoping from this outing you can see I’m trying to change and be a better man not only for myself but for you. You already make me a better man!
MERCEDES: Oh wow we’re just diving right in huh? I need a drink first.
Mercedes smiles as she motions for the waiter to come over, the two both order drinks and appetizers️.
MERCEDES: I appreciate everything you said Marcus, it was so sweet but.
MARCUS KAIN: Can we skip the but first and let this night play out.
MERCEDES: Okay Marcus.
A few minutes of silence goes by, the waiter brings out the drinks and both of them start sipping.
MARCUS KAIN: Well I don’t want to make this situation uncomfortable, I didn’t ask you here to pressure you to get back with me, all I want out of this is for you to be open.
MARCUS KAIN: Look I know I’ve done some fucked up shit, I’ve admitted to all that. But leave that in the past, people can change, I’m true definition of that.
The scene cuts back to the two.
MERCEDES: I’m here aren’t I?
MARCUS KAIN: You like to eat.
MERCEDES: That is true, but I can eat at home, or by myself.
MARCUS KAIN: I just want to be back in your space if that make sense and see where it could go from there. I mean check this out Alicia, the kids love me, you love me, and minus the bad we had some good moments.
MERCEDES: We did, but also had moments filled with alcohol abuse, infidelity, and a lot of other bullshit that I would dare not bring to the table while these cameras are around even though it’s what they want.
MARCUS KAIN: I’m not worried about any of this because everything I say now I’ve said to you off camera.
MERCEDES: That is true.
MARCUS KAIN: I want to apologize again for the pain I have caused you, but trust me when I say this I’m in a better place.
MERCEDES: I get that I signed up for being open about my life, but there are certain times of my life that I do not want to visit. My relationship with Marcus ruined a lot of relationships I had with people, some I was able to saved while others are no longer around. So yea I was hesitant in starting something with this man again, with all the drama I’ve been through with him, who would blame me?
The scene cuts back to the two.
MERCEDES: The only reason I entertained this meeting was because part of me does miss you, and I do see the good things you do for me and the kids. But I just need time Marcus and right now I can’t put time in a relationship with you when I’m not completely sure if I even want that.
MARCUS KAIN: I respect that.
MERCEDES: Just give it time Marcus, it’s not a definite no but it’s just not a yes right now. All of this is sweet, but it’s just not enough for me to say “Yes.”
MARCUS KAIN: I can only respect that and just hope your mind changes, but does that mean I can’t taste the box tonight?
Marcus chuckles while licking his lips towards Mercedes.
MERCEDES: Boy you better get out of here with that.
Mercedes blushes as she continues sipping on her drink, The scene fades and reopens in Miami, Brooklyn is shown sitting on a bench admiring the ocean and sipping on a drink she made before leaving the house, the scene cuts to a parking lot nearby where Madison King is shown pulling up in a Uber. She thanks the driver and hops out the car making her way towards Brooklyn.
MADISON KING: It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Brooklyn, ever since her breakup and her new marriage our relationship has been a little strained. So today I hit her up since I was in Miami just to see if we could talk.
Madison sighs.
MADISON KING: I was nervous as hell, maybe I was overthinking the whole thing but I just wanted whatever this tension was to end.
The scene cuts back to Madison finally reaching the bench where Brooklyn was sitting. She sits down next to Brooklyn.
MADISON KING: Thanks for meeting me, I figured you wouldn’t have time because I know you’ve been filming the show and then of course the twins.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: Were friends Madi, why wouldn’t I?
MADISON KING: I mean we really haven’t acted like we were friends these last few months, so I didn’t know.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: I understood why Madison felt the way she did, I mean back in the day we were inseparable, it’s like you wouldn’t see me or her without each other. But I mean things have changed, I’m married now and I have a family so honestly she has to understand that I’m not the same Brooklyn as before.
Brooklyn shrugs.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: But that doesn’t mean we aren’t friends, even after that whole blow up on social media when she aired out all of my exes drama, I still stood by her side throughout all that drama so I didn’t understand why she felt I wouldn’t be her friend anymore.
The scene cuts back to the two.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: I get why you're saying that but you have to understand we both are at different places in our lives. My main priority is my kids and making a living for them, so all the extra stuff had to stop.
MADISON KING: I understand that Brooke, but our friendship didn’t. I mean we would talk everyday on the phone, and if we weren’t talking then we were texting. Day by day the texts would get shorter and shorter until they eventually stopped.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: I mean after that whole situation online, I just wanted to get away from the drama and August wasn’t to happy about what went down. I didn’t stop being your friend, I just needed a break and for some time I stepped away from social media, it was just to much.
MADISON KING: I agree, but we both know I wasn’t the reason why that whole situation started. Once I was brought in I did what I needed to do to defend myself, I wasn’t thinking about who I was hurting in the process.
MADISON KING: That whole fight with Shark was ridiculous and it didn’t have to go the way it did. But like anyone else who feels attacked you’ll do whatever you have to do to defend yourself and I did just that. I would never let anyone just disrespect me or my character without fighting back.
The scene cuts back to the two.
MADISON KING: My main concern is us and where we go from here, I miss our friendship and I just wanted us to be like we were.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: And I feel the same, but I honestly think that the time apart is something we needed. While your here in town we can hang out and let go of whatever happened in the past and just focus on the future.
MADISON KING: I’m good with that, I miss the twins so It would be nice to see them again.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: Honey they bad and spoiled, but those are my loves so what can you do?
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: I can honestly say I missed my friendship with Madison and even though I didn’t like how she carried things, we’ve been friends for 10 plus years and I would never want to see us end over something so small and petty.
The scene cuts back to the two.
BROOKLYN CARTER•WEST: We can actually go back to the crib now, I’m sure they’re up driving August insane.
MADISON KING: That would be sweet.
The two hug it out as the scene fades and reopens in Miami at Brooklyn and August’s house. The scene cuts inside where August is shown wrestling with the twins.
AUGUST WEST: I swear y’all are a handful.
August chases both August Junior and Levi around the room, almost tripping over one of their toys.
AUGUST WEST: Today Brooklyn wanted to have a day for herself but instead of leaving the twins with her mother, I decided to take the challenge on watching them. Now don’t get me wrong these my kids and I love being able to spend time with them but let me tell you, these little boys always on one hundred and today is no exception.
The scene cuts back to August still playing around with the twins, the doorbell rings and he motions for the nanny to watch the two as he rushes towards the door, he opens the door and on the other side stood Anthony with a bottle of Hennessy in his hand.
AUGUST WEST: Damn you came prepared huh?
ANTHONY KING: Shit I got a lot to celebrate for.
Anthony smiles as he walks inside, the two dap each other up and head for the living room area. August reaches for the Henny and cracks it open pouring both him and Anthony a drink.
AUGUST WEST: But what are we celebrating for? When you called you sounded excited but I guess you had to wait to tell me in person huh?
ANTHONY KING: Fuck yeah yo, I was hoping Brooklyn and the rest of the crew could be here but I mean we became close and I look at you as one of my good friends so I can trust you with this information.
AUGUST WEST: Must be something big.
ANTHONY KING: Well you know London and I have been thinking about having kids, well adopting at least.
AUGUST WEST: I remember y’all talking about it.
ANTHONY KING: Well we’ve been secretly looking and trying to find someone to basically carry the child for us, so today our doctor and lawyer contacted us and told us that it’s finally happening.
AUGUST WEST: Are you serious yo? That’s great news.
ANTHONY KING: I’m fucking excited bruh, like this is huge.
August walks over to Anthony and the two embrace with a hug celebrating the news, they both take their drinks to the head and August pours both of them another one.
AUGUST WEST: So how do you plan on telling everyone?
ANTHONY KING: Everything was coming together, for the longest time both London and I struggled with whether or not we were going to adopt or find someone to carry a child for us and luckily we found someone who is willing to carry a baby twice.
Anthony smiles with excitement in his eyes.
ANTHONY KING: This is something we’ve been wanting to do for the longest time now and for it to finally happen is amazing.
The scene cuts back to the two.
ANTHONY KING: I’m letting London handle all that, he was thinking about having a dinner and announcing it that way but he wanted you guys to know first.
AUGUST WEST: I appreciate you giving us the heads up man, but congratulations. Now the twins can finally have some cousins to cause havoc with.
The two laugh.
ANTHONY KING: I just feel like my life is complete now for real, now if I can just get London to live in LA full time then life would be perfect.
AUGUST WEST: Yea you already know that’s going to be an issue, most of his family is on the east coast and he’s so close to the twins.
ANTHONY KING: But we need our own life too, it’s nothing for us to jump on a plane and travel. Most of my work is in LA so that’s where we need to be.
AUGUST WEST: Y’all need to figure it out, and quick. Because when the kids come, y’all need to be somewhere stable and not living out of hotels and planes.
ANTHONY KING: August was speaking nothing but the truth, time was ticking and before you know it those kids will be here, I get Miami is home to London but in my opinion LA is where we need to be, and where these kids need to be.
Anthony shrugs as the scene cuts back to the two.
ANTHONY KING: Facts! I guess I’ll figure it out.
AUGUST WEST: Nah you both need to figure it out, but until that happens just enjoy this moment man and stay on top of that pregnancy, make sure that girl gets everything she needs and just be there.
Anthony nods agreeing with August, the two continue drinking as the scene fades.
