The scene opens up inside of Roquel’s Atlanta home, Roquel is shown sitting down on her couch working on the zoom call she has with Zuma, since she couldn’t be in New York to do it one on one, she decided virtual would be the best way.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Chile, let me make sure my face is beat before I hop on this camera.
Roquel picks up a mirror that is on the table beside her, she starts messing around with her hair and making sure her face and eyelashes look right before putting the mirror back on the table.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I’m ready.
Roquel turns the camera on and sets up the call, after a few seconds Zuma appears on the screen and they go live.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: ZUMMMMMAAAA! Hunty, what is going on with your pretty face?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: haha just trying to get like you gorgeous. Over here in New York with these crazy ass boys.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Let me tell you, when I saw the promo poster for NY and saw your face, I said who is this little Puerto Rican boy? Are you Spanish?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: my mother is Somalian and my father is Mexican but I guess the short answer is black and Mexican so that’s probably what you’re picking up on.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I just knew you had to be mixed with something, pretty skin, nice curly hair and baby I’ve seen that body.
Roquel starts to fan herself joking with Zuma.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Now I don’t know if you’ve seen this show before but it’s basically me you know spilling tea and getting some tea. So are you ready to SPILL SOME TEA BOO?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life babe.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Now that’s what I like to hear, you guys are still filming this season of NY so what has filming been like? Is it different now that you guys are deep into filming or is it still the same as when you started?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: well I originally made a cameo on the last season of The Life so I kind of thought I knew what to expect...but it’s been something that nothing can prepare you for. Having cameras in your face almost all day every day is a unique experience.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Tell me about it chile, but you better get used to it because it seems like you're the new fan favorite of the franchise.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: That's sweet and that's been one of the good things about this experience...I’ve seen a lot of support from fans of the show and that’s been one of the reasons I’ve wanted to continue. You know not everyone is a fan so it’s been cool to see that support.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: You're on the list with the likes of Brandon, Jaser, Adyn, Richie Rich, Dallas, Chanel and the list goes on.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Well then I guess I’m in good company. Adyn is a good friend and the main reason I was excited to see this show. I’m also a huge fan of Brandon and Dallas so I’m okay with being in that group.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I heard you guys just got back from Mexico not too long ago, can you tell us what went down chile? Who was hooking up with who and were there any fights?
Before Zuma can answer, Roquel interrupts.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Don't hold back saweetie, I needs all the tea.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Well there was definitely a moment with Amaya and Leah which I think people will enjoy...obviously me and Keon got it in...and there’s a couple moments that I’ll save for the show. I will say that while there was definitely a lot of love being made, there was some war as well. Particularly from a very sad angry little man but that’s his problem. All I can say is we pray for those poor unfortunate souls.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Baby it wouldn’t be a trip if it wasn’t any drama.
Roquel snaps her fingers at the camera.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I think I might know the sad little soul your speaking of, but before we get into all that tell me more about you, how did you even get involved with the show and what were you doing before signing on? Because I’ve heard a few rumors but I want to hear it from horses mouth.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Haha oh I can only imagine the rumors you’ve heard. But I wanna set the record straight about something first and foremost. I am not, nor have I ever been broke. My moms a supermodel, my dad plays pro ball...like I don’t even know where that came from. I did some modeling as a kid which is pretty common for children of models...then I went to school for fashion, started my line and now am focusing on that. Actually modeling is how I met Adyn and Keon which is how I got involved with the show.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I love me some Adyn chile, he so precious. But it wasn’t the broke rumors I heard because I can’t tell you how many times we hear someone call someone else broke on this show, it happens every season so it comes with the territory.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: ohhhhh I know what you’re referring to. Apparently word on the street is I’m some kind of escort or whatever...I didn’t know my sex life was so interesting to people. But then again...why wouldn’t it be? It is pretty exciting.
Roquel smiles, she reaches for her wine glass and takes a sip.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Baby where ya drink at? What are you sippin on?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: sipping on some
Truth serum babe. We want the real tea right?
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Yaaaaas honey, GIVE ME ALL THE TEA! I want my cup to overflow and I hope you're being smart and using this show as a platform to not only promote yourself but any businesses you have or maybe want to start in the future.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Yeah I mean that has been a really good part of doing this show. Regardless of the bullsh*t, I’ve been really blessed with how well my clothing line Rock Sugar is doing so if nothing else I’m grateful for that.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Get that check boo. And I need some free pieces when it officially drops, I’ll buy some too but make sure you give ya girl some.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Several checks. Not only getting them but signing them too. Boss vibes. And I got you!.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Spill the tea Zuma on Keon, I mean it’s obvious that you two are together and IN LOVE. But how did that happen? Was it from the show? Because chile we know the show can destroy some relationships too.
Roquel gives off a smirk towards the camera.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Keon and I met off the show, a couple months before we appeared on the last season. We met on a shoot we were booked on together...and one thing led to another. He’s a cool guy with a huge heart and an equally big dick so how could you not fall in love?
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Whew Chile, don’t hurt me but I could tell from the sweatpants.
Roquel fans herself.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: But back to Rocksugar, is this all of your company or do you have a side piece sugar daddy like some other people I know.
Roquel chuckles playfully.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: That’s some fun shade!
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I’m a one man kind of guy but no I do not have a sugar daddy. I do have two very generous parents and an ex who was generous as well but let me ask you Roquel, that’s normal right? Like don’t you like it when your man gets you gifts & stuff? I was just smart enough to use that for something to better myself.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Honey I’ve been married to my man 20+ years and I still get gifts til this day.
Roquel snaps her fingers.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: And understand you are now considered a public figure so people are going to talk chile, whether good or bad it doesn’t matter, the only thing matter is what you do with that talk, it can turn out positive or it can be negative that depends on you.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Listen my name has been on peoples lips since I was in the sandbox. That part is nothing new. Let them talk and I’ll just be laughing all the way to the bank.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: If you guys are renewed for another season would you return and who would like to see come back and go?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I would like to return. It hasn’t been all bad...but I think the show could freshen up the cast if we do get renewed. I think Amonte and Leah are a little stale and they just don’t really do it for me. Maybe we could bring on a singer or someone who is actually talented and not just a glorified trust fun baby who can’t get laid to save their lives.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: THE SHADE HONEY, THE SHADE!
ZUMA ROCKWELL: is it really shade if it’s the truth?
ROQUEL WEATHERS: I’ve noticed on social media that you and Amonte been going back and forth chile, how does that work with you and Keon’s friendship? I know that has to be stressful and all knowing that is his man.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: well first of all, I’M his man. But I mean it’s not ideal...I never wanted the drama with Amonte but at the same time you can’t just let somebody run down your character without them being checked. It’s one thing for some stranger to start talking shit but it’s another thing when you have to see this person in social situations. I feel bad for Keon because he’s in the middle but I also don’t expect him to get involved and fight my battles.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: It wouldn’t be a show without the drama boo, it’s all fun and games at first but soon shit gets serious.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Yeah I mean it’s crazy but I’m sure one day in the future we’ll all look back on this and laugh because it really is just so petty.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Zuma chile, I’m happy you did this tonight with me, I told you I wouldn’t keep you long or make you tell all ya business but I think I got what I wanted, I can’t wait to see you on the show!
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Thank you for having me! It’s been fun and hey if going through the bullshit means I can chat with icons like you then I guess it’s all worth it.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Tell Keon I said hey boo, and thank you again!
Roquel blows kisses at Zuma and she disconnects the call.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Baby he is a firecracker and I’m here for it, I can see why he’s a fan favorite and I live baby! Anyway y’all I’m signing off, I need to attend to my man. Bye Boo!
Roquel signs off and the scene fades.
ROQUEL WEATHERS: Chile, let me make sure my face is beat before I hop on this camera.
Roquel picks up a mirror that is on the table beside her, she starts messing around with her hair and making sure her face and eyelashes look right before putting the mirror back on the table.
