Opening up in Zumaās Tribeca loft we see Zumaās mother, Luna, organizing place settings on the kitchen island. Sheās a tall, statuesque woman who seems to glide instead of walk. As she gracefully rations out portions of a home cooked meal, we see Zuma come into view after walking down a spiral staircase from his bedroom above.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Mom...what are you doing here?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: My mom is my biggest cheerleader and sheās also a big reason why I was able to have some sort of success in the modeling world as a kid...so naturally when I decided to have a fashion show for my new line, I wanted her to come and attend front and center...I just didnāt realize sheād show up unannounced cooking brunch in my condo.
The scene cuts back to Zumaās loft. He takes a seat at the island and begins eating while Luna grabs a few champagne flutes from a nearby cabinet and begins making mimosas.
LUNA ROCKWELL: I believe I do have a key and not to mention I have birth to you so...do I really need a reason to check in on my son? Especially since thereās a very important occasion...How are you feeling about the debut of your clothing line?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Honestly, itās a bit scary but Iām excited at the same time. I just hope everything goes well. I invited everyone in the group to attend the showā¦Adyn and Toderick, who you know, will be there as well. A few of the people in this group are models so Iām hoping they all want to walk in the show...I mean, except for one person but thatās whatever..
LUNA ROCKWELL: what do you mean except for one person?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: thereās one dude in the group who has been giving me a hard time and I really want this show to be a success so I think itās just better if he doesnāt come at all...I really donāt want drama at my first fashion show.
LUNA ROCKWELL: Well you will be the one who decides that. Iāve raised you better than to snub people. You know I always say, itās impossible for someone to be mean to you if you kill them with kindness.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Heh...you clearly donāt know this guy...but youāre right. It would probably cause more drama than itās worth so Iāll extend the invite and see if he wants to walk in the show too. I just wonāt hold my breath.
LUNA ROCKWELL: Good, well now that thatās all settled...will I be meeting a certain someone at this show too? Your cousin told me youāve been seeing someone and apparently itās getting seriousā¦
ZUMA ROCKWELL: First of all, Soleil talks too much...and something tells me you might be meeting him sooner than the showā¦
As if on cue, Keon is seen descending on the spiral staircase in his underwear. His eyes go wide as he sees that they have company. Luna smiles and giggles a little bit.
LUNA ROCKWELL: You must be Keonā¦Iāll just make another place setting. I hope you like seafood gumbo.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Hey...babe...this is my mom. She just kind of dropped in.
KEON CAMP: Oh wow, sorry for not being decent, I should probably go and throw on some sweat pants
LUNA ROCKWELL: well itās lovely to finally meet you. Iāve heard so many fabulous things about you. I actually need to go make a phone call but I look forward to getting to know everything about you...and please, enjoy your meal.
With that, Luna glides past Keon and Zuma into another room.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Iām so sorry...she kind of just shows up sometimes. I had no idea. This isnāt exactly
The way I wanted you to meet the parents.
KEON CAMP: Itās cool, I guess if we are doing this relationship thing then itās probably best I do meet your family.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: ...okay coolā¦well anyway, Iām really excited about the show and super stoked to have you walk in it. I have the dopest outfit planned for you.
KEON CAMP: Iām proud of you, I know the show is going to be a success.
KEON CAMP: I really see the change in Zuma, I can say heās at least trying and thatās all I ask for, hopefully itāll work out in the end because Iām tired of heartbreak.
The two clink their glasses of mimosas together before the scene fades out and reopens in Manhattan, Amayaās private firm flashes on the screen, Amaya is shown walking into her office with a coffee in one hand and her phone in the other, as she enters she is startled by her brother who is staring out the window watching the people and the cars below him.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: This view is crazy, I would probably be nervous as hell working this high up.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Boy were only on the third floor, it aināt that high up and I didnāt even know you were here, Shaundra didnāt tell me anyone was in my office.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Iām your brother, not your client.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: I didnāt see Amaya when she got back in town from Mexico so I decided to pop up on her at work just to see how the trip went and to get some fresh air.
The scene cuts back to Amayaās office, she takes a seat in her chair while her brother still stands by the window looking outside.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: So whatās up? Where is Nico Jr.? You could have brought my nephew to see me, I miss his little bad ass.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Heās with mom right now, I think theyāre down the street at Starbucks, I had to stop and see my probation officer and since we were down here I thought we would drop by and see you.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: It was late when I got in last night, I didnāt want to wake you guys and I had to be here early for a meeting.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: How was the trip?
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Eventful, we had fun minus the drama but it wouldnāt have been a trip without it I guess.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Don't get me wrong I had a lot of fun in Mexico, I even enjoyed hanging around Leahās drunk bipolar ass. The drama that went down with the guys really doesnāt affect me because I wasnāt a part of , and I donāt plan on being a part of it. I love all the guys and share friendships with them all, let them handle it.
The scene cuts back to the two.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: You probably should be happy that you didnāt go.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Damn! Weāre people fighting or something?
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I guess you can say that, to be honest all of them were acting a little immature, but like I said I stayed to myself most of the time or hung around Amonteās sister Leah and this was my first time in a long time that I could have some fun, let loose, have a couple drinks and just do me.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: True shit, I still wish I could have been there because I would have been the life of the party.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Iām sure, with your ankle bracelet and all.
Amaya laughs.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Not funny, I canāt wait to get this shit off.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Well the good news is I spoke to your lawyer and probation officer, your allowed to attend Zumaās event with me, itās a favor that theyāre doing for me so please go and act like you have some sense and class, if you keep up this good routine then that ankle bracelet may come off sooner than you think.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Oh shit, donāt play with me yo.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Iām serious.
Nikko smiles, he runs over to his sister lifting her up and giving her a hug in a playful manner.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: BOY PUT ME DOWN!
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Yo, I havenāt been to a party in months, shit itās been longer than that. I donāt give a fuck Iām excited, itās like Christmas to me right now.
Nikko laughs.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Iāll be the freshest nigga there, ankle bracelet and all.
The scene cuts back to Nikko and Amaya, Nikko puts his sister down, Amaya sits back down in her chair and Nikko leans on her desk.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I was thinking when I leave here, maybe we can stop somewhere and find you some new drip, this is your first major outing since youāve been locked up so you gotta look fly.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Oh trust I will.
The two laugh and continue talking as the scene fades and reopens outside of Amonteās home. Amonte is shown in the backyard sitting on his patio couch holding a glass of wine and catching up on work and business emails. He looks up and notices Keon and his sister Leah walking out towards him, the two step out onto the patio and joining Amonte on the couch.
AMONTE JORDAN: So Mexico is over and here we are back in New York, from my understanding little Miss Zuma is throwing a fashion show and Iām still on the list even after what went down in Mexico so Iām a little hesitant about showing up. Iām sure heāll want some type of revenge and heās low class so him ruining his own event probably wouldnāt matter.
Amonte pauses for a second.
AMONTE JORDAN: But Iāll still show up and support him because Iām that type of person, hopefully heāll be on his best behavior and I even have a little gift for him.
The scene cuts back to the three.
AMONTE JORDAN: I hope you're not mad at me, friend.
Keon ignores Amonte.
AMONTE JORDAN: Come on friend, donāt be mad at me.
KEON CAMP: Itās not that mad Iām mad at Amonte, Iām just frustrated about the whole situation, I havenāt even talked it over with Zuma yet because as soon as we got into town, I slept and then next thing I know his mother is in town and Iām showing my goodies off.
Keon shrugs.
KEON CAMP: But itās whatever, I know heās probably stressing about the fashion show coming up and he probably doesnāt want to talk about it but Iām going to talk about it with Amonte and let him know he was wong and that heās still invited to the show and I hope he comes and act like he has some sense.
The scene cuts back to the three outside, Keon reaches for the wine and glass sitting on the island table in front of them and pours himself a glass.
KEON CAMP: Iām not mad, Iām disappointed.
AMONTE JORDAN: I didnāt fight the boy, I doused him with some water, heās lucky it wasnāt holy water because thatās what he needs.
KEON CAMP: Stop!
AMONTE JORDAN: Itās something about him Key Iām telling you, heās to flirtatious when it comes to other guys and I already warned him I didnāt want him around Cadence and he did listen, that boy is mad thirsty and I gave him what he needed and that was some water.
KEON CAMP: But you know it could have started a fight.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Boy please, one he canāt fight and two heās not stupid. I donāt know what you see in that boy anyway, seems like heās desperate to fit in the āitā crowd, like who even brought him around?
AMONTE JORDAN: I was thinking the same thing.
Keon rolls his eyes, he sits the empty glass of wine down on the table.
KEON CAMP: If my friendship meant anything to you then you would just let me handle this on my own, I didnāt come here to argue or even go back and forth with my friend.
AMONTE JORDAN: So why are we discussing the loser?
KEON CAMP: Because thatās my man and I want to make sure we donāt have any problems at his fashion show, this is important to him so itās important to me and I would hope you would respect that.
Amonte tosses his hand up brushing Keon off.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iām not worried about him, Iāll go and watch the tragedy unfold and then Iāll leave.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Iāve seen preview of his pieces and I wasnāt impressed.
KEON CAMP: Itās a lot of negativity out here, maybe I should go.
KEON CAMP: I donāt know this person Iām talking to right now, Amonte was never this evil and again I donāt know what his issue is with Zuma but I donāt have to sit here and listen to him and his sister talk negative about a guy Iām interested in, nope not today
The scene cuts back to the three, Keon starts to get up but Amonte stands and stops him.
AMONTE JORDAN: Listen! Iām sorry! Iām just so mad about what happened in Mexico and your right, this is your relationship and I shouldnāt come between that.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Fuck him.
AMONTE JORDAN: Chill Leah! Anyway! Iāll play nice just for the sake of our friendship, I hate that weāre arguing like this.
Keon sits back down on the couch.
AMONTE JORDAN: I promise Iāll play nice.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iāll play nice now, but at the fashion show thatāll be a different story, I canāt wait to come show my support.
Amonte winks at the camera as the scene cuts back to the three.
KEON CAMP: I was hoping we could all sit down before the fashion show, but Zuma is still mad about Mexico plus with the show coming up heās already stressing out so please just come with positivity in your heart, thatās all Iām asking for.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iāll come and show my support if that makes you happy.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Well you can count me out, I have better things to do then to support another young NY bum trying to become a fashion designer.
KEON CAMP: Don't come, that's probably best anyway.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Trust me I wasnāt, anyway Iām off to Saks, Iāll catch you losers later.
Leah jumps up and walks back into the house.
KEON CAMP: Your sister is annoying as fuck sometimes.
AMONTE JORDAN: She needs some dick in her life.
KEON CAMP: I bet, so whatās going on with Cadence? I mean how does he feel about what happened in Mexico?
AMONTE JORDAN: I donāt know, we havenāt really talked since we got back and I think heās off staying on someoneās couch right now because he isnāt on mine.
AMONTE JORDAN: I love Cadence but his little free spirit is causing issues in our relationship. I wonāt dig deep into it because whatever decision I make is whatās best for me but Cadence needs to start making better decisions or he may end up alone.
The scene cuts back to the two.
KEON CAMP: Let that boy in the house.
AMONTE JORDAN: He has a key, I didnāt stop him from coming, maybe he realized he was in the wrong so he was too embarrassed to show his face, who knows?!
KEON CAMP: I canāt with you.
AMONTE JORDAN: Just saying a dog deserves to be in a dog house and thatās where he is but sadly heās on someone else's couch instead of his own.
The two laugh as the scene fades and reopens at Geon and Gypan's loft. Cameras pan through to the living room where a person is shown sleeping on the couch. Cameras then pan to the hallway showing Gypan walking down the hallway. He walks over to the person on the couch shaking them awake. He pulls the covers to reveal Cadence. He sits up confused looking at Gypan.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Aye what up bro.
GYPAN TYLER: Wakey wakey my friend. Its past noon.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: I'm up. Im up. Damn is it really twelve already.
GYPAN TYLER: Almost one.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Damn I need to Blaze. I'm behind.
Gypan chuckles as he pulls a joint from behind his ear and hands it to Cadence.
GYPAN TYLER: I got you covered man.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Ayyyye you a real one
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Since we got back from Mexico, Amonte has been bugging big time man. We've probably only talked once or twice and its been awkward as fuck at home so I packed me a lil booking up and walked out. Was just going to clear the air when I ran into geon and gypan and they let me crash with them for a while so we could work this out.
The scene fades back to the two in the living room.
GYPAN TYLER: I'm still bugging about this trip man.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Man you? I'm starting to regret ever going man. My relationship might as well be over.
GYPAN TYLER: you really think it's over?
CADENCE WASHINGTON: That's what it's looking like. Amonte walks around acting single and talking to everybody but me. And I can't deal with his sister. I love him man. I really do. But this is too much.
GYPAN TYLER: it's hard to see couples break up. But from what I've seen them two hate each other. I've never really seen them happy. Granted I've only been around them a few times outside of Mexico, they've literally always been at each otherās throats. I just hope they figure it out. I mean cadence is the boy and all but I don't really know how long Geon is gonna go for him crashing on the couch.
He chuckles nervously as the scene returns to the two.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Man I just can't keep letting him treat me like I'm his puppy man. Like I can't have friends. I canāt look at nobody. I ain't never been this kinda dude. But i'm literally changing who I am to make him happy but he can't see that shit man.
Gypan shakes his head.
That's tough man. Maybe it is time for yall to call it quits. But what happens if yall do?
CADENCE WASHINGTON: I've been wanting to head back to Vegas. Been feeling a little homesick forreal. So maybe I'll just go back there. I don't know man. But I do know that whatever is going on now, aint it. It ain't it at all man. But whatever. I aint even tryna think about that right now. I thought you were supposed to be walking in that fashion show for Zuma.
GYPAN TYLER: Yea I am. I was coming to see if you were gonna go.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: I mean, Zuma invited me. But idk if I should go. Wouldn't that just be adding fuel to the fire.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Me and Zuma bonded the most in Mexico. He's a cool cat. But daddy says I can't be friends with him because he hates him. I feel like their beef is so petty and easy to get past. So I shouldn't have to lose a friend over it but that's not how things work in Monte's world. So I probably should just sit this one out till we figure out what's going on with us.
The scene returns to the two.
GYPAN TYLER: From what I heard Amonte isn't even on the list.
Cadance: But if I come you know somebody is going to get it back to Monte. I don't know man. I'll think about it. I definitely wanna support but I should probably be working on this first.
GYPAN TYLER: I feel you bruh. Do what you gotta do. But I definitely need to get ready to head out soon.i think you should think about coming. You need to get out of the house.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Yea you might be right. I might come. We'll see man.
The two continue their conversation as the scene fades to the Old City Hall Subway, an abandoned subway station turned underground tourist attraction. It was the night of Zumaās first fashion show for Rock Sugar and the place was decked out accordingly with banners hanging from
The walls and rows of chairs lined up along the subway platform. Guests were already filing in for the show and finding their seats while waiters dressed in their own Rock Sugar apparel served drinks.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: So tonight's the big night! I canāt believe itās already here...Iāve been working on my clothing line all year and I knew this day was coming but itās just another thing entirely to see it actually come to fruition. I chose the abandoned subway as the venue because, after all, RockSugar IS a street apparel brand and I just thought the gritty atmosphere really complemented the clothes plus I wanted to make sure it was a totally immersive experience for everyone who showed up. Iām not having a runway. Instead, a subway car is going to pull up on one end of the platform and all the models are going to file out and walk down in front of everyone to show off the clothes. I enlisted the help of my mom and cousin Soleil, plus Keon Adyn and Toderick are all walking in the show as well so I have a really good team. I invited everyone of course, and hopefully everybody can put their difference aside for one night but I canāt even worry about any of that right now.
The scene switches to one of the subway cars where the models are getting dressed, in hair and makeup, and doing last looks. Luna, Zumaās mother, being a veteran in the modeling industry is instructing the models on how and where they will walk as well as approving their hair and makeup. Meanwhile Soleil is wrangling the models and getting them ready for showtime. Zuma walks around, taking everything in before finding Keon, Gypan, Adyn, and Todrick standing by in their RockSugar apparel.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: You guys look amazing!
KEON CAMP: This is going to be fun.
ADYN: Thanks for inviting me to be part of this Zuma.
TODRICK TABOR: Honey, she has arrived and she is on time. I am so glad I could be here to support you tonight Zuma. You deserve this.
GYPAN TYLER: Yeah man this is dope! I'm excited.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Thank you guys so much for doing this, honestly I couldnāt have done it without you. It means so much to me that youāre all here you have no idea how nervous I am.
TODRICK TABOR: Nervous? Now you just cut out all that foolishness. As long as you keep Amonte away from the runway with water we should be fine. But honey let T.T. take care of that because nothing is going to ruin your night.
ADYN: I know Iāll need a drink after this.
Adyn chuckles
KEON CAMP: Anything for you babe.
Just then, Zumaās mother glides by and places a hand on his shoulder.
LUNA ROCKWELL: Excuse me boys, mind if I steal my son away for a moment?
The two break away to a more quiet section of the subway car. Luna smiles sweetly at Zuma, the Amazonian model practically towering above her son in high heels.
LUNA ROCKWELL: I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you. I wish you all the success in the world, my love. Youāre going to do great.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Thanks mom. Really. That means a lot.
SOLEIL ROCKWELL: ALRIGHT EVERYBODY IT'S SHOWTIME!!!
Soleil shouts, running down the subway car and getting everybody in position.
LUNA ROCKWELL: Good luck, Zuma.
She says before giving him a kiss on the cheek. Cameras pan to one of the entryways to the backstage area. Cadence is shown looking around trying to find Zuma.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Man! This is dope as fuck.
He continues walking as he spots Zuma talking to some models. He taps him on his shoulder and whispers in his ear.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Whatās good shawty.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: I know this is a bad idea. But Amonte aint said shit to me since we've been back from mexico. And its not like him or his sister are even gonna come. I donāt even know if weāre still together at this point. I know Iām gonna have to deal with that eventually, but today Iām here to support my boy and Geon is in the show too. Iād be rude not to support. Heās letting me crash on his couch right now.
The scene fades back to the two.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Yoooo you came!
Zuma says after turning around. He gives Cadence a quick hug.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I honestly didnāt know if you were gonna make it. I know things have been weird in this group especially between me and your dude so I just wanna let you know I really appreciate you coming out to support me. Thatās really cool of you.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Nah Donāt mention it man. You been cool. We donāt even gotta talk about that here. I just wanted to pop back and say what's up, and congrats man.
He pauses.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Oh yea. And I brought you a lil something something.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pre roll and places it in his pocket.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: For after the show. You hit that shit now you might be out till after its over.
He chuckles. Zuma starts cracking up.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Mannnn youāre the best! You already know Iām gonna need it. Iām already stressed as fuck and the show hasnāt even started yet. Speaking of which itās about to start in a couple minutes. I saved you a spot up front just in case!
The scene then switches back to the subway platform where everybody is in attendance. The main lights shut off before some Chicago house music starts blasting from the speakers. Turquoise and hot pink spotlights swirl around the subway station before a spotlight hits the subway car one end of the platform. The doors to the car open and one by one models dressed in pop-art inspired RockSugar tracksuits file out onto the platform which becomes illuminated. They begin to walk down the platform, passing by the rows of people in attendance. The scene switches backstage to Todrick Tabor and Austin Ramsey.
TODRICK TABOR: Babe, you made it
Todrick hugs Austin and gives him a quick kiss.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: I wouldnāt miss this for anything in the world. You know I had to support you and your best friend. Although I thought I was your best friend.
Honey, this man never ceases to amaze me. He is so kind, considerate, and attentive to all my needs. He is the ying to my yang baby.
PRODUCER: Do you think the two of you are moving too fast?
TODRICK TABOR: I messed up good relationships before subscribing to what others believed was too fast or too slow. I am taking this day by day and living my best life.
PRODUCER: Are you in love?
TODRICK TABOR: Chile, arenāt you the busy bee trying to offer me honey for this tea. We havenāt labeled what we have, but we are in a relationship. He likes me for me, and that is enough.
Austin playfully grabs Todrickās ass and pulls him close.
TODRICK TABOR: Boy, you know there is no competition. You better stop grabbing me like that because I have a job to do.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: Yeah you do. We could sneak away real quick. Iām just saying.
Austin shrugs and Todrick shakes his head.
TODRICK TABOR: Lordt give me strength. Where is my oil chile?
AUSTIN RAMSEY: We could..nevermind
TODRICK TABOR: I know you werenāt about to say what I thought you were going to say.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: Babe, I wouldnāt even joke like that, thatās why I said nevermind. But on a serious note, I need you to be on your best behavior tonight.
Todrick gives him a shocked look.
i.imgur.com/U6mUmE6.jpg[/img/2
TODRICK TABOR: Oh lawd, here he goes.
TODRICK TABOR: Moi? I am always on my best behavior.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: Even if Amonte and Leah are here tonight?
Todrick rolls his eyes at the mention of their names.
Damn, I told you, the ying to my yang. I wanna turn-up if those heauxs want this smoke and here he goes telling me to turn down. I know heās right though. There are going to be so many people watching this and this is Zumaās night and I donāt want anything to ruin it. Or my reputation as a professional.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: I saw that. I mean it Todrick. Tonight is not the time or the place for bullshit from people that donāt matter to you. What do you always say? āThey arenāt feeding, fucking, or financing me, so they donāt matter.ā Well Iām doing all three of those things so what I say matters.
Todrick looks at Austin and raises an eyebrow. He loves when Austin gets all manly like this because usually he just goes along with whatever Todrick wants. He stares into those green eyes and the love is apparent.
TODRICK TABOR: Okay Daddy, I guess I will behave here and misbehave later.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: Good, I reward you properly when we get home or in the limo on the way to the afterspot. You sure you donāt want me to help you limber up before you walk?
TODRICK TABOR: Boy, get out of here and go find your seat. Zuma made sure you had a spot somewhere close to the front.
TODRICK TABOR: I think I love that man! But I aināt getting a uHaul yet honey. We still have a ways to go. The scene cuts to Zuma in the confessional.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: This is insane! My heart is beating a million miles a minute. But the models all look so good and the clothes look amazing. It feels surreal but also like a dream come true at the same time.
The scene then cuts to Amonte and his sister hopping on a party bus filled with both male and female models, Amonte stands at the head of the bus yelling out grabbing everyoneās attention.
AMONTE JORDAN: Listen up everyone, tonight is the night we are showcasing my new eye and sock wear and I want everyone to be on point, this is a big deal and I want the audience to notice the product weāre selling.
AMONTE JORDAN: Tonight Zuma is having his little Payless fashion show and for some reason I was left off the guest list, now everyone knows that Amonte Jordan is invited to every party or event so I decided to make an entrance anyway, Iām sure the fashion show is dry so my presence will lighten the mood.
Amonte chuckles as he sips on his water.
AMONTE JORDAN: Plus what better way to announce my new business venture.
Amonte winks at the camera and the scene cuts back to the party bus. Amonte is shown still pumping the models up, he turns and sits down beside his sister and the bus starts moving.
AMONTE JORDAN: I canāt wait to see Zumaās facial expression when we walk that runway, not only is my stuff better, Iām sure our models are prettier too.
AāLEAH JORDAN: I canāt believe Keon allowed him to not invite you, some friend.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iām not upset with Key, heās just doing his part as that riffraffs boyfriend, I really donāt see what Key sees in him anyway, heās not even that cute.
The two laugh.
AMONTE JORDAN: All I know is Iām about to crash this party and make it worth attending.
The scene fades and reopens back to the Rock Sugar fashion show, both Blaze and Amaya are shown arriving at the event. Amaya wearing a short black dress with some red bottoms walks down the red carpet and poses for a few photos.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Tonight is the night of Zumaās fashion show and I canāt wait to see some of his pieces, I remember him talking about his clothing line when I first met him but to see it actually happen is wonderful. I just hope we can make it through this night without any drama because baby what happened in Mexico was a hot mess.
The scene cuts back to the two heading towards the audience area, Amaya looks for her name along with her brothers and the two finally take their seats.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Man it feels so fucking good to be out of the house, having this ankle bracelet on is driving me crazy.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Well stop being a criminal and you wouldnāt have to worry about it.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Damn it's like that, Iām not a criminal, I just made some bad decisions.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Weāre not even going to get into this, at all.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Man I aināt even tripping off what my sister is saying, Iām use to people calling me a fucking criminal, I heard that shit inside and outside the prison walls so it doesnāt really bother me anymore, Iām out now and I wonāt be going back.
PRODUCER: Can you break down what all your charges were and what happened?
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Nah, that's an old chapter in my life, Iām moving onto bigger and better things.
The scene cuts back to the two.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I thought Zuma wanted you to walk in the show.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: He sent me a DM and asked if If I wanted to, and at first I thought it wouldnāt be a bad idea but then I realized how embarrassing it would be for me to walk down the runway with a ankle bracelet on, so nah I just decided to sit in the audience and support from here.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE:You shouldnāt let what other people think about you bother you, if you allow that to happen then youāll never get anywhere. I think you should still walk!
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: You right. I appreciate you sis.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I know you do, and I appreciate and love you to, even though you get on my last nerve. Iāll let him know that Iāll walk anyway, maybe he can figure out a way to make me still look good while I got this shit on my leg.
The two laugh while sharing a quick embrace, Blaze jumps from his chair and heads to the backstage area. The scene follows him as he rushes over to Zuma who in the middle of fitting Gypan.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I canāt believe how sick this looks on you! I canāt thank you enough for showing up today, it honestly means the world to me.
GYPAN TYLER: Itās appreciated man. Most definitely!
GYPAN TYLER: I knew moving to New York was a good idea. If i wanted to take this modeling thing seriously, I needed to be where it lives and breaths. Iāve already modeled in Mexico. And now this! Things are definitely looking up for the kid.
He smiles as the scene returns to the show.
GYPAN TYLER: I just appreciate you asking me to be apart of it. Iām still a noob in this world. So youāre also helping me more than you know. Thanks man. And this fit is sick! I gotta cop.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: I totally got you! Itās the least I can do. Just donāt forget about us when youāre a supermodel, k?
Gypan chuckles.
GYPAN TYLER: Nah man. Itās looking like youāre gonna blow too.
He chuckles
GYPAN TYLER: But I see it's a few people, well a certain person missing.
GYPAN TYLER: I mean itās kinda obvious Zuma wouldnāt invite Amonte to be in the show. But i still have a strange feeling he isn't gonna be too happy that he isnāt on the guestlist.
He chuckles as the scene returns to the two.
GYPAN TYLER: Have yall come to any kinda resolve yet?
ZUMA ROCKWELL: You know, I thought about it but then I remembered something...they say in show business you should never work with two things: children, and animals. So why would I work with a baby goat? Anyway, Iām not trying to think about any of that right now. Tonightās all about positivity.
Just then, Zuma notices Blaze walking up to them.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Yo Zuma, I know you busy man but I wanted to tell you to disregard that text I sent you earlier, I still want to walk if the offer is still there, I got nervous because I didnāt want people to talk about me having this bracelet on my leg but fuck that, I still want to walk.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Oh man thatās actually the best news Iāve heard all day! Iām not gonna lie I was a little stressed trying to figure out how I was gonna pull this show off with one less modelā¦
Zuma looks down at Blazeās ankle bracelet and thinks for a second.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: actually this could really work...my line is all about that gritty street vibe so fuck it letās bling it out and make it into an accessory.
After doing one last check on Gypan, Zuma pats him on the shoulder.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Alright youāre good. Go kill it!
Zuma then quickly leads Blaze over to the wardrobe, speaking to one of the stylists.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: can you help my friend get changed please? And find a seamstress to bling out his ankle monitor. Iām talking studs, crystals, all of it!
He then turns to Blaze.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Youāre gonna do great! I really appreciate this so much. Definitely owe you one!
The scene cuts back to the runway where the second round of models are coming out in the next collection. One by one male and female models come out dressed in multi colored abstract print tracksuits and jogger sets. Todrick is first of the cast members to walk out, followed by Gypan, then Adyn, Keon, and finally Blaze who confidently struts down the runway. His walk earns him major applause from those in attendance which only fuels his confidence.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Iām beyond ecstatic. The show couldnāt have been more perfect. Everyone looks sooooo dope and it seems like people are really liking my stuff. I feel like a proud papa right now I could almost cryā¦.almost!
The scene then cuts back to the runway. Now all of the models in each collection file out onto the stage as everyone stands up to applaud. Once all the models are out, Zuma jogs out from the backstage area onto the runway to a standing ovation. He takes a bow before waving at everyone, miming āthank youā and posing for a few pictures. The scene cuts outside to Amonteās party bus pulling up, the loud sounds screaming from the bus pours inside of the event making people wonder where the noise was coming from, a few seconds go by and the door swings open. Amonte walks in along with his sister standing by his side and a microphone in his hand he walks towards the main stage where Zuma is standing.
AMONTE JORDAN: HEY MY GOOD FRIEND, sorry to interrupt your fashion show but since I wasnāt personally invited to your little event, I decided to invite my own self, and while I was in my nice fancy home wondering what I should wear, I thought to myself what a perfect way to show off some of my new stuff that Iāve created.
Amonte stands there for a second silence, admiring the angry look on Zumaās face.
AMONTE JORDAN: I have an eyewear and jewelry line coming out, more on the high end side, not like the payless prices you're selling your items for. Anyway, ladies and gentleman I want everyone to give a warm welcome to MY MODELS and real fashion.
Amonte and the rest of the models strut their way down the long runway, Amonte who is leading the pack walks right past Zuma who you can see is trying to control himself from leaping at Amonte.
AMONTE JORDAN: The audience is loving my eyewear and jewelry, but I knew that would happen. I mean compared to the cheap shit that Zuma is trying to force on the audience, he should be happy that I saved his show, Iām sure Page Six will have a lot to write about tomorrow.
The scene cuts back to the event, by this time security has already rushed the stage trying to get Amonte and his models off of the stage.
ZUMA ROCKWELL:....Can you believe this shit? Amonte is the tackiest person Iāve ever met in my entire life. Youād think someone who prides themselves on being so prim and proper would understand what a lack of invitation means. Who crashes another personās event trying to hock their own merch? Maybe he couldnāt afford a venue of his own.
Zuma shrugs and takes a sip of his drink before the scene cuts back to the fashion show. Zuma is noticeably livid but is clearly trying not to lose his cool in front of everyone. Instead he makes his way over to security, making sure they know which models are allowed to stay and which need to go. Eventually, Zuma walks over to Amonte who is arguing with a security guard.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Dude this is really low, even for you. You werenāt invited but you showed up anyway. Your behavior is so fucking inappropriate so I think itās best if you just leave now.
AMONTE JORDAN: Oh trust me Iām leaving this event, it's not even packed to the capacity, shows how much of failure this project is going to be. You should be thanking me for showing up and helping out this disaster of an event.
Amonte laughs, the scene cuts to the other side of the room where Keon is shown staring over at Amonte and Zuma.
KEON CAMP: I canāt believe Amonte just crashed Zumaās fashion show, Iām so mad right now it's not even funny. Honestly if Zuma was to hit Amonte right now, I wouldnāt even care, I would just let it happen.
The scene cuts back to Keon, he makes his way over to Zuma and Amonte who are still arguing. He stands in between the two pushing them away from each other.
KEON CAMP: Letās just go Zuma, yāall are causing a scene and everyone is watching.
AMONTE JORDAN: Yes tell your man to get going and leave me alone, this should teach him a lesson for always coming at me disrespectful.
Keon turns and looks at Amonte.
KEON CAMP: Iām so disappointed with you right now Amonte, you should just leave too.
AMONTE JORDAN: What? Iām your best friend.
KEON CAMP: And you will always be that, but tonight you really did some fucked up shit and I just need a couple days away from you.
Amonte stands there for a second speechless, heās annoyed at what Keon is saying but at the same time heās still feeling good after crashing Zumaās fashion show.
AMONTE JORDAN: I canāt believe you are this mad, your boyfriend sits around and bad mouths me all day with his lackey and you're mad because I wanted to have a little fun, wow I canāt believe you Keon.
AMONTE JORDAN: Look I can understand why Keonās upset, but it's like a prank, it's funny. Iām not worried about us not being friends but if he feels like he needs to be mad at me to get over this whole thing then Iāll give him his space.
The scene cuts back to the three.
KEON CAMP: Can you just go, we can talk about this another time.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Yeah get the fuck on before you embarrass yourself more than you already have.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: Amonte is borderline psychotic if he really thinks what he did was a harmless prank. I had investors and buyers in attendance tonight. This so-called prank could end up ruining what little reputation Iāve tried to build for myself. All my hard work could go flying out the window because of Amonte and his bullshit. Like this is my future weāre talking about. But that just goes to show you how selfish and short sighted he is. I may not like the dude but Iād never try to put his livelihood in jeopardy over it...and to be honest Iām kind of getting tired of trying to play nice with him for Keonās sake. Not only is it disrespectful to me but itās disrespectful to Keon too. Clearly Amonte knows he can get away with doing whatever he wants, despite how he knows Keon feels about the situation. He knows that whatever he does, eventually Keon is going to forgive him. I donāt care about what Amonte says about me because fuck him. I just wish Keon would stick up for himself and actually put his foot down for once and stick with it.
The scene cuts back to the three. Zuma clenches his jaw and inhales deeply before exhaling.
ZUMA ROCKWELL: whatever...Iām gonna go get changed for the after party and then letās get the fuck outta here.
With that, Zuma turns and storms off toward the backstage area. The scene cuts to Leah walking with her brother Amonte out to the party bus, Cadence is shown walking out the front entrance yelling for Amonte to stop.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Yo! AMMONTE! Stop.
Amonte turns and looks at Cadence.
AMONTE JORDAN: I was wondering how long it was going to take you to finally come out here, I feel like you should have walked out when I did.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Amonte. I'm here now. Will you just fucking talk to me
AMONTE JORDAN: I feel real disrespected that you choose to be friends with that scumbag Zuma, clearly we have a problem and the fact that you two are still friends drives me fucking insane. How about you stand up for me once in a while instead of sitting back in the corner.
Leah chimes in.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Because heās a coward, heās not a real man, the only thing he's worried about comes in a form of a powder substance.
Amonte turns and looks at Leah.
AMONTE JORDAN: Look chill Leah, I can handle this, just get on the bus.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Well hurry up, Iām ready to get Rozelleās so I can order some steak and drink some wine, and leave this coward alone, you need someone more on your level.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Will you just go! You're the last person to be talking about someone the way you be guzzling that tequila.
Leah starts to get into Cadenceās face, because sheās a female Cadence just backs away from her.
AāLEAH JORDAN: You donāt know anything about my life bum, get a job, fucking loser.
Leah turns and walks onto the bus leaving Amonte and Cadence alone.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iām here, what do you want to talk about?
CADENCE WASHINGTON: First of all we need to talk about your whack ass sister. You let her talk to me however the fuck she want and you think im supposed to just sit there. Does she not know I have sisters too.
AMONTE JORDAN: I canāt help that or stop her mouth, I have told her numerous times in the past not to talk to you in that manner and she doesnāt listen, but what is it you want me to do? That's my sister and she only wants what's best for me, I mean you sit around and let Zuma talk to me any type of way and I donāt see you coming to my defense.
Amonte rolls his eyes, Leah starts banging on the window.
AāLEAH JORDAN: Hurry up, I am hungry. Iām sure he needs to go to the bathroom and do a bump anyway, damnit!
Amonte ignores Leah and looks back at Cadence.
AMONTE JORDAN: Iām supposed to be your man, we were so good in the beginning and now look at us, weāre falling apart.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Babe we haven't talked since Mexico. You got your sister and everybody else in ya head and they're pulling you further and further away from me. I don't know what you want me to do Monte! This shit with Zuma seems to be all you care about anyway. This shit is so stupid bro. I got your back all the time but this ain't that deep. Yall need to work this shit out. Yall letting it affect business now. You know this was foul bae. But i'm still out here cuz I wanna fix this shit with us.. so wassup?
AMONTE JORDAN: Itās foul how he treats me, he invites you but doesn't invite me and you still show up? Now if that isnāt disrespectful I donāt know what is, why would you even walk?
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Bae I'm not walking. I literally stopped by to show my support. Geon is walking in the show and I felt like it would be cool. I didn't think you would be here. I'm sorry man.
AMONTE JORDAN: I was beyond mad at this point, I didnāt understand why this wasnāt catching on to Cadence, this whole situation. I donāt want him to be friends with Zuma and if he canāt do that then I donāt know what the future holds for us.
The scene cuts back to the two.
AMONTE JORDAN: Listen you donāt have to do anything, but tonight I think you should stay at a hotel, Iām just not feeling us at all tonight.
Cadence sighs, looking at him.
CADENCE WASHINGTON: Can I at least get a hug? I missed you man.
AMONTE JORDAN: Yes.
Amonte leans in and hugs Cadence, kissing him on the cheek. Amonte turns and gets on the bus and cracks open a bottle of champagne, the bus drives off leaving Cadence standing there alone and the scene fades and reopens to Todrick Tabor in his confessional. He has tears in his eyes.
TODRICK TABOR: I am so mad Iām ready to cry and just wreck shit. A prank? That asshat thinks that was a prank? That is Zumaās life and livelihood. If someone did that to him then heād be crying to everyone who would listen. This victim act is getting real old, real fast. She is a mean girl and she is trying to act like she is the one in distress. Every single event or outing here she goes bumping them gums and then when someone says something to her ass she starts with the victim act. Zuma doesnāt know how to behave? Bitch please. And as far as this lackey thing goes, he takes that uncultured and uncivilized drunk Leah everywhere. They are just toxic and Iām over both of them. I need to go find my bestie right now. He is what matters.
The scene switches to Austin running up to Todrick in all the chaos. He doesnāt speak but reaches out to embrace Todrick and holds him tight.
TODRICK TABOR: Thanks Boo. This is a disaster right now and I canāt imagine how Zuma is feeling right now. We have to salvage this night babe.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: We will babe. Get changed and weāll go find Zuma and Keon. Todrick scurries off and the scene switches to Tommii Drekko pulling up to Amayaās home. Tommii pulls into the parking garage and exits his car.
TOMMII DREKKO: Yo Mexico was lit as fuck, minus the drama but shit it didnāt involve me so I really donāt care. I heard Zumaās fashion show had some drama going down but I wasnāt invited, and nah Iām not in my feelings about it I didnāt expect him to invite me, we barely know each other.
Tommii shrugs.
TOMMII DREKKO: I hit my homegirl Amaya up so I could catch up with her and also holla at her brother, I heard he was looking for some work so I figured I could help him out.
The scene cuts back to Tommii walking into Amayaās house, the two hug before walking into the living room area and sitting down on the couch.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Boy what the hell was you doing when I called you? It sounded like you were with a female or something.
TOMMII DREKKO: Nah, you know you're the only girl for me.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Boy get out my face.
TOMMII DREKKO: Damn Amaya itās like that, Iāve been trying to get at you for years ever since you got me off the hook for that little case I caught back in the day.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I was your lawyer and till this day I still help you with certain shit, weāll just keep it professional and whatever personal between us will just be friendly.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Tommii is a trip, that man has been flirting and trying to get with me since I first represented him in a possession case a long time ago. Heās cool but I would never cross that bridge, itās the immaturity for me.
The scene cuts back to the two.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Anyway, why didnāt you come to the fashion show?
TOMMII DREKKO: I wasnāt invited, itās cool though. We were only around each other for a short time in Mexico, but I heard the shit was crazy.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: The fashion and the show was on point, it was just the shit that happened afterward was crazy.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: Zuma did an amazing job with Rock Sugar, I was really impressed with what I saw and I only wish him the best success, but baby Amonte was wrong for what he did. I wonāt say to much but thereās a time and place for everything and him crashing Zumaās fashion show was not the right time.
The scene cuts back to the two.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I donāt know how the group is going to move forward after this mess, it seems like itās a lot of drama going on and I donāt want any parts of it.
TOMMII DREKKO: Yea they trippin.
Nikko makes his way into the room wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a #FreeBlaze shirt on. Nikko daps Tommii up and sits down on the couch beside his sister.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: What yāall talking about?
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: The drama at Zumaās fashion show.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Oh yea that shit was crazy, I felt bad for the dude.
AMAYA āLYNNEā COLE: I just said the same thing, but anyway Iāll leave yāall two to talk.
Amaya gets up from the couch and exits the room leaving Nikko and Tommii alone.
TOMMII DREKKO: Yo, no disrespect but ya sister fine as shit.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Chill bruh, letās talk business.
TOMMII DREKKO: Aight, I know you do music, so I was trying to get you in the studio and see what you got but that ankle shit fucking up your moves right now.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: I feel you, but Iām getting the shit taken off soon.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: This ankle monitor really fucking shit up for me right now, everything I want or need to do I gotta get approved and that shit is a process.
Blaze pauses, rolling his eyes.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: I just want this shit off so I can finally live my life the way I want too.
The scene cuts back to the two.
TOMMII DREKKO: Talk to your PO and see if heāll approve some studio sessions, once we get a song on iTunes and every other platform then the money will start coming in, this shit is a platform so use that shit and make some money.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: Iām trying to, but the system is holding me back, Iām going to talk to my PO and see whatās up.
TOMMII DREKKO: I feel bad for Nikko, all he wants to do is work and provide for his son but his past mistakes are holding him back, thatās why Iām trying to help him as much as I can. If I felt like he wasnāt trying to change then I wouldnāt be so involved with his future, but I know he wants to do right.
The scene cuts back to the two.
TOMMII DREKKO: Do that, and if you need me to put in a good word or something then I got you.
NIKKO āBLAZEā COLE: I appreciate that.
The two continue talking as the scene fades to black.
