THE MERCEDES SHOW
The scene opens up with Mercedes sitting on her studio stage but this time things are a little different. Instead of an audience Mercedes has several mini monitors up that allows audience members to still watch and participate as a studio crowd. Sitting next to her chair are three monitors which will allow her guests to interact with her during the show.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Hello everyone and welcome to The Mercedes Show, I know things look a little different right now but unfortunately that’s how the world is right now, different. But I’m excited to be sitting here again in front of you all and I hope in the next couple of months things will go back to normal.
Mercedes shrugs.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: But I doubt it, either way I hope everyone is doing ok and keeping their heads up, I know things have been crazy but we’ve been through worse so let’s stay strong and keep it moving while being safe.
Mercedes winks towards the camera.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Tonight’s guests are stars from this upcoming season of Crew Love, we have Jada Montana, Mia Snow and Jeremiah Kingston in the building and I’m not holding back, I’m asking all the questions that the people want to know. I don’t want to keep everyone waiting so please welcome my guests, the stars of CREW LOVE.
Hit Different by SZA plays in the background while Jada, Mia, and Jeremiah appear on the screen. They wave towards the screen with the audience and then at Mercedes.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Thank you guys for showing up.
JADA MONTANA: Thank you for having us.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: Yes thank you.
Mia smiles and blows a kiss toward the screen.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: So on February 6th we’re getting another season of Crew Love, but you guys are calling this Season 1.5 and not 2, now from what I can remember the show stopped filming because of contract issues or that’s what we were told but I want to hear from you guys what happened.
Jada chuckles.
JADA MONTANA: I mean part of that is true.
MIA SNOW: But it’s a lot more too it, we didn’t want to talk about it because we were trying to protect certain people.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Who?
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: The people who aren’t a part of the cast anymore.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: So the rumor going around is Alex J was the reason the show stopped filming?
Jeremiah shrugs.
JADA MONTANA: I wish her nothing but the best and that’s all I’ll say about that.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Oh wow.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: It’s one of those cases where a conversation should have happened but it didn’t.
MIA SNOW: The people you see on the promotional banner are the people involved with the show. The cast needed a change and that’s what happened.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: The problem is officially gone and now we can continue on with the show.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Well I’m happy to hear that the show is coming back and finishing out the season, I thought you guys always had potential.
JADA MONTANA: Being on reality tv isn’t new to me, I did the very first season of #theLIFE so when I was offered the opportunity to be on Crew Love, I knew it would be a hit. I’m just happy that it’s finally happening without any issues.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: What can we expect from you guys this time around?
MIA SNOW: I think this season will show off what’s really happening in our lives, with CoVid and everything going on you really get to see us vulnerable and trying to survive.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: On a sneak peek I noticed that Jeremiah was talking with a therapist and actually attending AA meetings, you haven’t tweeted about having an alcohol problem but are you an alcoholic?
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: I don’t want to give away too much of what goes down this season but I will say a lot of my demons and issues I have will be addressed.
JADA MONTANA: I’m really proud of Jeremiah because when we first aired he wasn’t open about his life at all but this time he’s really letting you in his world, I remember filming a scene with him and he opened up about something that I thought he would never talk about on camera so it really shocked me.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: The point of being on a reality show is to show your real life.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: I think that’s why the ones you see on the show are still here, we were ok with being real, the other ones wanted to live out this fantasy life, put on a show for the cameras.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m happy that you guys are finally coming back though, the first season was good but then once the hiatus happened it was like damn y’all just left us hanging.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: It was out of our control, but even though our lives weren’t being broadcasted, we were still living our real lives.
JADA MONTANA: People need to understand that it’s not always about what happens on camera but a lot of shit happens behind the scenes too.
MIA SNOW: The off camera drama is real.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Mia girl I live for, I remember seeing you post on social media and you were always slaying in the pictures from the bag to the shoes.
MIA SNOW: I love fashion and I love shopping, I doubt you’ll ever catch me in the same thing twice.
Mia snaps her fingers.
MIA SNOW: This season you'll get to see all the different looks I bring.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m excited to see you that, so any of y’all dating? You know I’m nosey.
Jada chuckles shaking her head “No.” Jeremiah laughs and Mia just shrugs the question off.
MIA SNOW: I don’t have time to date, my itinerary won’t allow it.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Oop.
JADA MONTANA: Dating is difficult, I’ve been on a couple dates but nothing seems to stick. A lot of these guys love the idea of having all these girls just and it’s not cool, I stay to myself.
MIA SNOW: This girl is a hermit, I swear.
Jada shrugs.
JADA MONTANA: Just not into right now.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m married and trust even I still have my moments so I get it. And what about you Jeremiah?
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: My dating life has always been complicated which is why I don’t date. I’m single, my focus is my businesses and my life.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I hear that. So I hear that there will be some cameo appearances this season, can you tell us who?
JADA MONTANA: Y’all nosey.
Jada laughs.
MIA SNOW: We can’t tell you who but you will see some new faces, some are doing test runs while others are just making appearances. But I think filming this season was a lot of fun, minus the little drama we had it was a good time for me.
JADA MONTANA: Same here. I’m excited to see what second season will bring us if we do get a second season.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: Hopefully the producers find people that will fit the cast and actually stay, I think we should get rid of a few people too.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Oh really? Like who?
Mercedes leans in like she’s trying to be nosey.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: Shit you already know who I’m going to say.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m thinking Chase, that’s the person you have the most issues with.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: Hell get rid of them both, what do they bring to the show except a snooze fest?!
JADA MONTANA: Jeremiah be nice.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Damn that’s cold. I actually like them both on the show, that is if you're talking about Braelyn.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: You said it.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m just happy you guys are finally getting a chance to tell your story. MIL has produced a lot of content but a lot of people were excited about #CrewLove and when filming stopped, there were a lot of hurt people.
MIA SNOW: And we get that but we have no control over production or what the network decides to do.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: The network dropped the ball and was so focused on getting one person to commit and because of that person not wanting to commit, it fucked it up for everyone but then they realized the show could go on without whoever didn’t want to be a part of it.
JADA MONTANA: I’m just happy they realized that we all have our own identities and that we could carry the show no matter who was a part of it.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Well as everyone knows I am a part of the executive board with MIL and we did run into a lot of issues with filming this show. But that’s in the past now and I’m happy to say that #CrewLove has always done well when it came to the ratings.
JEREMIAH KINGSTON: Because the people love us, now they get a chance to really see us.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: I’m proud of all you guys, everyone one of you is doing big things on and off the show and I want you guys to continue with that success. Now when we come back we will announce this weeks Hater of the Week yes ya girl is still naming them. And I want to thank our guests from #CrewLove stopping by.
The virtual audience applaud and Mia, Jada, and Jeremiah all get up and make their exit, the scene cuts to a quick commercial promoting the upcoming seasons of #theLIFEATL and #CrewLove before switching back to #TheMercedesShow.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: And we're back, I know it’s been a minute since I’ve announced a Hater of the Week but baby it’s time for another Hater to be inducted with the rest of the fools that’s made the cut. So this weeks Hater of the Week is:
Hater of the Week Jamie Spears
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: Yes I picked Jamie Spears himself, the father of the legendary Britney Fucking Spears. I don’t care what anyone says but she deserves her flowers, fan or not you can’t deny the impact she has made on music. But this conservatorship that her father has over her needs to go, she is a grown woman who wants to live her life, raise her kids and do what she loves to do and that’s entertain the people. I understand her past and the mental issues she may have but to be controlled in a manner that her father is doing is not right. I had the opportunity to sit down and watch the documentary that The New York Times did on Britney and yes I will say I am apart of the #FreeBritney movement. If you haven’t watched it, take the time to do so because it will really have you thinking about a lot of stuff.
The audience claps.
ALICIA “MERCEDES” MATTHEWS: And that my folks is this week Hater of the Week and trust me there are more to come. Catch us next time, make sure you tune in to #CrewLove Season 1.5 every Saturday at 8PM EST and thank you for tuning in, love you guys.
Mercedes waves as Meg Thee Stallion and Cardi B’s hit single WAP plays in the background, she blows a kiss to her virtual audience before exiting the stage and the scene fades to black.
